Project Summary
Situation at the start
Our different schools seem more or less concerned with pupils'(lack of) ambition.
They are usually lacking of ambition and mainly go in for vocational studies when they have the capacities to go in for general or technical courses ones.
Objective(s)
→ help our students gain more ambition and self-confidence by getting involved in a project turning around the practise of rowing.
→ they would develop skills (travelling and getting adapted to other environments, controlling emotions, getting the sense of risk and security as well).
That’s why this project needs a transnational work.
During mobilities, students will discover new way of lives.
They’ll have to adapt their behaviour and attitudes , develop their linguistic skills and control their emotions to improve and play safe.
In parallel, they become aware that despite their differences, European people share the same moral and democratic values and that « Nous sommes tous dans le même bateau » !
By the end of this programme (2 years long), pupils should be able to think about themselves in terms of « What am I able to do ? » rather than « What am I supposed to do ? » (pressure from economic and social factors)
This programme is composed of broad outline being « indoor rowing competitions » and mobilities (preliminary works, a rowing lesson in a foreign language, creation of a log book, discovery of the local heritage, different way of lives and developping linguistic skills, activity linked to rowing).
