Project Summary
Our two-year-long project has been based on common results, excellent professional and human cooperation of our previous project of 2017-2019. We decided together about carrying on, making and handing in this present project.
The title of our project is: Along with students for sustainable development! – Exchange of good practices of our eco-smart schools
Szandaszolosi Primary School and Primary Art School acts as coordinating institution and Vitos Mozes Primary School from Csikszentkiraly is a partner school in this project.
Main aim of our project is: Intensification of teachers’ job by creative methods and good practices of transmission of old traditions and culture through students’ personal development.
Main aim of our project is to find responses to the challenges of our world along with our students and to strengthen the importance of sustainable development in everyday school life.
Furthermore we want to foreshow our existing strong points and good practices and adopt them to each other’s institutional, pedagogical and professional practice. It is obvious by the title that our schools have both determined eco-approach and smart technology which are used in organising school work. We want our students to play an active part in the project and to emphasize biodiversity and observing the natural habitats in our surroundings.
A highlighted area in the project is students’ teamwork based on individual search and which is built on a searching plan. It is always supported by teachers. We are planning an experiment with students on an exciting topic: to measure our schools’ ecological and digital footprints. The results of the search are going to be published so we can compare the footprints of a small school in a small settlement with those of a big county school. We also can define the methods of rationalisation and what schools and students can do to decrease the size of these footprints.
W have planned all the activities of the project to fulfil these aims. During the project there will be 91 mobilities for the direct group: 25 teachers and 66 students of the age of 10-14. We are going to organise two 3-3 workday-long meetings to exchange good working practices in short trainings for the staff. The number of participants will be 8 (4 people to present the good practice and 4 to learn that). During the project the adoptation will contain documentation about everyday usage with the description of the lessons and projects and also with the presentation of the efficiency of the methods.
We are going to organise two 4-4 workday-long mobilities for students in this two-year-long period which don’t take place near the schools. During these programs students and their mentors will do researches in an area protected by Ramsar Convention of Wetlands in Hungary. In Romania they will do researches, examine the effects of climate change and learn the tasks of a youth ranger in a conversation district.
We are going to build the creative methodological, professional and pedagogical elementsof our good practices in the mobility programs. They will support students’ personal development, raise interest towards Science, help application of new IT equipment and methods. They will also develop digital competences with improving basic skills and competences,
We defined our priorities after needs assessment in the topic of the project.
– Strengthening the profile of the teaching professions
– Supporting opportunities for all in acquiring and developing key competences, including basic skills
– Innovative practices in a digital era
– Environmental and climate goals
– Increasing the levels of achievement and interest in science
As a result students and teachers will look out of their schools, experience cooperation in doing the tasks, and realise the importance of building eco-smart schools.
The results will be presented on our website updated continuously. At the beginning we are going to create an own eTwinning site mostly on Twinspace.
Finally, we are going to organise a dissemination conference in both schools and an online symposium where students can present their researches, results and recommendations.
Using Erasmus+ Project Results Platform we want to increase the visibility of our new project which will make it possible to present our results as European added value.
