Alternative Media and Participatory Culture

Learning Teaching Training, Curtea de Arges, Romania, 07-11 October 2021

Between 07-11 October the Learning Teaching Training Alternative Media and Participatory Culture were held in Curtea de Arges, Romania. The host organisations were Association for Intercultural dialog and King Michael I Technological High School. Project partners from Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Saint Andre/Reunion were present.

During three days of workshops the participants took part in different learning/teaching sessions. 

After the official opening ceremony the participants shared their experience connected with dealing with bullying during round table discussion. The trainer from ZSAiO presented Prevention Methods to all the participants. Next session was devoted to different types of news  and article writing used to stand against bullying and develop critical thinking, interpretation and cooperation. This session was led by ADi and the  professional journalists. aso a session connected with Journalistic Genres was led.

The second day of the training started with the school Bullying session carried out by College Terrain Fayard and FANZINE, a new non formal method to develop creative expression was presented. The participants created their own fanzine as a group work. Trainer from Michael I King Technological High School presented a method to prepare the campaign HOW TO PREPARE THE ANTI BULLYING CAMPAIGN- 3 DAYS OF ACTIVISM.

The last training was devoted to the difference between Professional Journalism vs Citizen Journalism in order to stand against bullying and hate speech. The participants were taught how to use a video editor to develop their digital skills and creative expression. In order to develop their media competences the participants had to make a short interview on the subject of bullying on the field session.

Trainer from College Terrain Fayard prepared a sample of the ESCAPE GAME to be used at school as a method to stand against bullying.

After the training evaluation the certificates of attendance were handed.
