Project Summary
Our project “Learning to undertake” will be carried out by the 5 European institutions of Romania, Portugal, Sweden, France and Spain (Coordinator). It was created to address the needs that have arisen in these schools: to improve low academic results, to motivate students through the premise “learning by doing”, to integrate students in a situation of cultural and social exclusion (especially immigrants) and to improve the perspective of youth employability , at the same time that aims to the development of skills in foreign languages and digital competence. The task is to create a business (fictitious) giving all the previous steps and mini tasks involved. Each association works a sector of the company. This experience in undertaking shared with young people from other countries will result in an increase of the personal autonomy of students, creativity, problem solving, decision making, self-organization and self-evaluation of the individual resources and ability to work in team and obtain greater degree of participation in active citizenship. In each of the 4 exchanges, students will present the results of their work and establish exchange of experiences concerning: they will know every host country concerning systems- basic route of entrepreneurship, agencies, aid, funding, training and tools for the entrepreneur, etc. bring you to the world of the other activities that will bring them to the world of business of each visitor´s country. Some of the tangible results we expect to achieve are as follows: the project website “creatingacompany”, 5 videos made by students and teachers of the interdisciplinaryproject of a company creating and marketing a product or service, blogs produced by students with the follow-up of all of its shares in the elaboration of the project, among others. We also expect achievements of social character in the neighborhood area where students belong , especially those belonging to discriminated environments or immigrants by using more appealing teaching strategies ; methodological approaches based more on practice and learning between peers and less theoretical. And we hope that this work will improve the perspective of employment and mobility of the participating students in a European environment. The training component of the stay is reflected through training activities that each institution offers both for students and for teachers that will reverse in the improvement of its teaching methodology. The final products will be disseminated through digital media, internet is the medium of broadcasting that will allow easier access and visibility to all potential beneficiaries of these resulting materials.
