Project Summary

The Architectural Stone Carving Programs (ARSCAP) Project will continue 24 months with international meetings, multiplier activities, and dissemination activities. The main objective of the project is to design a new and updated curriculum for Architectural Stone Carving training. In addition, to make the training materials interactive for those who cannot reach education through the web-based education portal of this curriculum.

Both the VET General Directorate Quality and Development Department 2018 report, the EU 2020 Strategic Development Plan and the Bologna Declaration signed in 1999, it is emphasized to create of a curriculum for the qualified labor force of the sector needs according to the qualifications in the VET area.
When considering today’s conditions, despite having a deep-rooted history in Turkey, Architectural Stone Carving education only is given very limited educational institutes. This training program is only available in MoNE, Lifelong Learning institutions. However, this program does not contribute to the sector at the required level. The current curriculum is understood to be inadequate to meet the needs of today’s sectoral and social needs. Moreover, technical material, lack of physical fields and lack of experienced academics is another reason why the programme is not adequate.

We are planning to examine the implementations of international stonework in the EU and Turkey Level, prepare a comprehensive course curriculum related to these works, interpretation of common artistic cultures in the redesign in order to contribute to today’s stonework sector. After the end of the project, cooperation between project partners and inter-cultural sustainable continuity and employment will be ensured. The copyright of the outputs will be taken. Thus the sustainability of the project will be provided. The aim of this course is to increase the number of qualified and professional education teachers, master instructors and stonemasons who can bring the historical textures from Anatolian and world cultural heritage back to the workshops and train the master of architectural stone carving in the sector at the European level.

OBJECTIVES
The core of our project aim is to prepare an innovative curriculum to meet the employment of architectural stone carving and to strengthen professional qualifications at the EU level. The most important source of motivation for our project is the lack of an open web resource at the national and international level, where architectural stone carving curriculum courses will take place.one of the other objectives of ensuring that the local Architectural Stone Carving is sustainable again at the EU level at VET through the curriculum. Architectural Stone Carving will be created after the education of the graduate follow-up system with the needs and needs of the sector will be ensured to be constantly up-to-date and follow-up with this system. The Moodle.org online training platform with rich visual content, including the Architectural Stone Carving curriculum and materials, will be launched at the end of the project pilot.

PARTNERSHIP
The partnership is consisting of 3 national and 3 EU partners. The partnership is only small scale but each partner brings with them particular expertise to enhance the project. the smallness of the partnership will allow very focused work, thus ensuring that high expectations of this project are met.
