The context and the objectives of the ART BLOSSOM project are increasing the employment of young unemployed women and talented young people with flowers, art and innovative technologies. Mainly the objectives will be on;

1. The improvement of the living standards and economic development of young unemployed women by “Production methods of homemade flower works in Europe” (O1)
2. The effective usage of art (music, and technology in flower cultivation and marketing (O2)
3. Techniques of marketing of young women who produce flowers through online services (O3)
4. Short documentary movie of “ART BLOSSOM IN EU”.

The production value of floriculture has been rising from 11 billion to 60 billion dollars in 2003 (estimate) worldwide. Europe was traditionally a large producer and trader, with a stable production value of about 10 billion dollars in 2002. Today, production of life, cut and ornamental plants has been an effective sector that contributed to the economy for many countries in the world. Europe is the most important key player in case of export, import and trade subjects while the estimated land area for flowers, ornamental plants and nursery plants is total 194,000 ha in Europe in 2010. The value of the production of plants and flowers are estimated at 19.7 billion euros in 2010 in Europe. Live plants and products of the floriculture sector is developing day by day in Europe. The most important production in floriculture is 28 % as the highest value in the world according to AIPH (International Association of Horticultural Producers)/Union Fleurs (International Floricultural Trade Association )

This project is supporting young women individuals especially in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competencies on floriculture ( including flower cultivation, seeding, potting, artistic pot creation, e-trading) in order to foster employability and socio-educational and personal development, as well as participation in social life. These priorities will include actions to develop partnerships between universities, learning institutions, women associations, businesses and intermediary bodies, with a view to promote lifelong learning and to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning mobility experiences of young women in selected project regions. The project will also support actions that develop or disseminate necessary tools for the assessment of such competencies, as well as actions that apply “learning outcomes”-based approaches in education, training of young women and youth activities or assess their quality, impact and relevance.

The project will strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation, allowing for greater synergies across project countries, policy maker, stakeholder with a special focus on access to rights, social exclusion in Europe.

Broaden and deepen social participation of young women at local, regional, national, European or global level; Increase the social inclusion of all young people, taking into account the underlying European values by art and technological development;

The project will enable young women to connect with, express their opinions and influence elected policy-makers, public administrations, interest groups, civil society organisations, or individual citizens within economic life.
