Project Summary

The Project “Art” was created in the wake of the very beneficial results and outputs of the School Partnership Projects “Live Art” implemented in the school years 2017/2018 and 2019/2020. The intention of the present project was to continue to deepen international cultural and artistic cooperation between the two educational institutions. During this cooperation we wanted to focus on educating pupils, especially in their field of study in various art disciplines. The project was implemented during the peroid of 1 December 2020 to 30 November 2021 with the aim of sharing each other’s professional skills and competences in selected school-specific art techniques.
The pupils were also become acquainted with another education system and will have the opportunity to see the creative work of the pupils and teachers of partner schools. The participants were obtain all necessary information about the working enviroment, tools and procedures.
The handover of these skills and knowledge were take place in several forms, especially in on-line communication between pupils and teachers (etwinning), short-term exchanges of groups of pupils and professional educators, a joint exhibition of created works.

Sub-objectives achieved:
1) Learning the process of working new techniques and applying them to the education of the partner school
2) help young people after graduation to enter the European labour market – gaining Europass
3) mobility participants are encouraged to understand the cultures and mentalities of the partner schools. Mobility was prepared so that, in addition to reasonable tasks, it would also get to know other artistic gems (galleries, museums, art styles of the city and its surroundings, etc.
4) familiarisation with the new system, environment, pupils, educators, people of EU countries
5) mobility is part of the educational process and builds on theoretical vocational subjects
6) development of information-communication competences through the etwinning platform
7) personal development of stakeholders and improvement of their educational outcomes
8) cooperation of school management and expansion of knowledge, knowledge of participating teachers and school staff
9) strengthening joint cooperation in improving the quality and innovation of teaching

The short-term mobility of pupils and vocational teachers as accompanying persons took place only after the implementation of online communication aimed at familiarising themselves with the technical technology that was the content of the mobility. The first mobility took place at the high school of art AVE ART Ostrava, Czech Republic from 6 to 17. 9. 2021 (12 days). The mobility was attended by 11 pupils from 1st to 3th grades and 2 professional educators who gained new knowledge and skills in Graphic Design with a focus on working with a large-scale tablet. The second mobility took place at the partner school Súkromná škoka umelecký priemysl Hodruša – Hamré, Slovak Republic. 10 pupils and a vocational teacher took part in the mobility from the 6th to the 17th. 9. 2021 (12 days) and acquired knowledge and skills from goldsmith’s art filigree technique.
Supervision of participants during professional mobility was carried out by professional educators (accompanying person) who learned the techniques and ensured that these skills were passed on to colleagues and other pupils of the school. At the same time, the accompanying person was responsible for mobility participants and assisted in dealing with various situations (e.g. communication assistance, orientation in a new environment, artistic creation).

The end of the project was completed due to the covid situation by a joint exhibition of school pupils’ work on the grounds of the AVE ART Ostrava school. The exhibition presented the work to other educators, pupils, parents and the public.
The aim of the project is to improve the quality of education and develop international cooperation towards meeting the set objectives of the European Plan for the Development of Partner Schools..
