Project Summary

As we move forward in the 21st Century,we-teachers from Czechia,Malta,Italy,Turkey,Bulgaria and France come together to find out new innovative teaching methods for our students which will play an intricate role in their education.And enhance the ability for students to build skills that are useful in a world,where jobs are information and knowledge-based is paramount.Then we come out with the approach of arts-based teaching of cultural values of each country with the help of web 2.0 tools which is the main objective of the project “Art Shaping Our Cultural Identity-ASOCI”; promoting the role of art on cultural identities of partnership.
By the arts we are referring to all types of art—visual,film,music design,fashion.In this regard,we want to create a “Butterfly Effect”on our pupils by awaking awareness of power of art in past& future to discover their own&each other’s cultural identity and through collaborative work they will be able to achieve a unified result.
Our project also aims to;
-strengthen theprofile(s)of the teaching profession.They will learn about arts-based teaching which can be integrated to other subjects like geography,history,languages and so interdisciplinary method; become active eTwinners,etc.
-develop digital skills of both sts&teachers.We will incorporate Intangible cultural heritages art,music,legends,film,photos to the digital era this will allow a revolution in the teaching methods,that calls for a change in both the role of the teacher&the pupil.
– improve both sts&teachers’ language skills by participating in short-term exchange of group of pupils
The project has been developed in partnership with 6 schools.All of them have general education level Czechia school is a primary & the rests are
secondary.ASOCI project will be the first for Bulgarian&Czech schools but other partners are experienced in working on transnational projects.The project is addressed to sts 12to15 years old.
Within two-year-project-period,there will be 6 LTTs;short-term exchange of groups of pupils.4 pupils from each country travelling accompanied by 2 teachers.The project activities are planned to investigate art tastes of involved countries to learn about each other’s cultures,to collaborate& promote the development of local areas at social&economic level.
We will have many activities enriched with many methogologies like ;outdoor teaching,CLIL,technology-based edu,peer&projectbased learning, museum education,interdisciplinary teaching,photolanguage.
Bulgaria:Murals of some Bulgarian cultural patterns workshop,Drawing via andrea mosaic program;’Music in Books’ the nurseries&lullabiesof partnership will be gathered in a book with CD with wooden toys&illustrations done by sts.Joining European Year of CH events
Turkey:Workshop on web2.0 tools in classroom;a cultural trip to 5 Konaklar historical buildings related lesson from historiana; 3generations(3G)Sts-parents-grandparents will collaborate to learn about traditional instruments -kahoot;historical places of Turkey through VR tech;a cultural trip to Arslantepe-open-air museum&Levent Valley:an outdoor lesson will take place;Ebru-Turkish art of marbling workshop
Malta:CLIL workshop;Ghana music&instruments;The school concert at school.Each country will sing a song of their own culture&famous songs of each other.Sts will perform a drama at Manoel Theatre Europe’s third-oldest working theatre.Project song will be composed.
Italy:Our eTw mentor.Photography Workshop. An interdisciplinary lesson will be done Saint Nicholas Church in Bari to learn about Romania style.The history teacher will give information about the history of that place,music teacher will lead the pupils compose a song by the voices of nature or they will draw the pictures of nature..
France:Working in multinational groups sts will design’The dress of tomorrow’;at Louvre Lens Museum:Sts will imagine they are having a conversation with the work of art to share the thoughts&will make the painter speak,using the app.photospeak,Storytelling activity;sculpture workshop;an exhibition of all art works created by sts;a flashmob on a French song
Czechia:Drama Workshop;learning art techniques of Czech painters;-3G;Generations Activity on music;Czech Architecture;Flashmob of our project song and expedition of all artworks at school hall
ASOCI will make a world impact starting at the local level.Both sts&teachers will acquire key skills like learning to learn,interpersonal, intercultural,social competences&cultural expression set out by the European Commission.Sts will produce their own minimultilingual dict.The Project Handbook&training materials will be uploaded on project website&be avaliable at schools’libraries to ensure their wider&longer use.Tangible resources,products,deliverables which have resulted from funded project will be published on relevant sites for educators aswellas in eTwinning&Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.That will ensure a long-term sustainability and availability of the Project
