Project Summary
The LAST2 project involves three schools coming from France, Italy and Bulgaria. These schools, work already together, include students with special needs, whether it is for socioeconomic reasons or because of a handicap.
For these pupils , the teachers have to find original solutions to integrate them into the school system to avoid the early school leaving. The participation in an Erasmus project has already shown us how it could be enriching and rewarding for all the pupils and the teachers.
This project has for objective to set up innovative and successful educational activities in writing using history of Arts. This to improve the results of the pupils – and in particular Students with specific needs – to ensure that they have mastered this skill prior before entering secondary school.
More specifically, mobilities concern 90 pupils between 9 and 12 years old and their teachers. But other school teachers as well as School Life Assistants will also be involved, either to organize the activities or to exchange on the teaching practices observed.
The proposed activities are based on a cultural aspect specific to each country, which serves as a starting point for writing and arts workshops.
Student competency will be assessed at the beginning and after each key phase of the project during writing challenges. The mobilities will be carefully prepared, a real (letters) and virtual (Visio-conference) correspondence will be organized between the students. An introduction to the languages of the three countries concerned will be organized.
The expected result is the edition of a book, illustrated by the students collecting the various stories written during the project. We believe that this project will have a positive impact on teachers’ knowledge and teaching skills; the knowledge and skills of students in writing production. We also believe that this project will result in better integration of students with specific needs, with everyone working together to achieve a common goal.
Meetings will be organized for families, municipal teams and the local educational community. The activities planned during the mobilities will be shared on a dedicated e-twinning site. The results will be disseminated via school websites and local media.
