Project Summary

Our project mainly focuses on gifted (or really clever) pupils’ problems they encounter during their life. According to UNESCO classification (ISCED) for Special Educational Need, so called SEN students, gifted and talented students belong into category defined as students with disadvantages. Also we believe that each person has got different intelligence types (Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory) and he or she should be evaluated by their talents not a standart criteria.
We are 6 partners; Slovakia, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Romania and Bulgaria. We totally have … students, ..teachers with different experiences, knowledge, and beliefs, but with common objectives in our schools.Too many of pupils in our schools are really gifted, smart and brilliant ones. As you see it is our common problem to have more gifted pupils and we want to exchange good practices in order to spend quality time with these students. Otherwise they will be lost as long as we cannot deal with them professionally.
We, the teachers, the families and the environment have lack of information on their psychology, abilities and problems they face in any aspect of life. Researches show us that they really have some problems especially during their adolescence with their peers, teachers, families or relatives. A professor, Julian Stanley, made a research (https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.3102/0013189X009003008) of 45 years on 5 thousands gifted people ( There were Mark Zuckerberg ve Lady Gaga between them ) According to the research, there are some ways to help them be happy and reach their goals. We prepared the main details and plan of the project together with partners in the light of these researches.
We planned our activities in the light of Gardner’s Intelligence Theory. In the first year of the project we will be dealing with the first module “Social problems” with 4 subtitles; intrapersonal, interpersonal, spatial and verbal intelligence types. In the second year of the project we will be dealing with the second module; “Academical problems” with 4 subtitles; kinesthetic, musical, naturalist and mathematical intelligence types. -Thanks to the planned activities, we; teachers, families and the others, aim to be more aware of their psychology, feelings and academical situations of pupils. Also for the gifted ones, they will feel themselves more precious. We planned to use web2 tools, talent shows, visits to art centres and SEN schools, seminars on gifted ones, dealing with art crafts & games & photos, finding solutions to environmental problems, preparing calendars, composing and singing rap songs, drawing comics, acting out the dialogues they wrote on their academical problems etc.
With the activities planned, gifted students feel themselves more valuable, their self esteem increases, they will be more social and empathetic individuals. Families will be able to combat with their problems more professionally. Teachers will also be more professional on the subject. At last, each shareholders’ foreign language usage, communication and cooperation skills, EU awareness, comparing and getting the best practices in other countries will increase.
The evaluation will take place during all the project period and different assessment tools will be used to evaluate the assessment of the project and its objectives before, during and after the project. We will use lots of different communication materials and we will disseminate the project outcomes in all native languages of the partner countries and in English so that we’ll reach as many people as possible. Our multilingual rap song will also add a different value to our project. All project results will be published on school’s websites, project’s web blog, social media pages of the schools as well as Etwinning platform and Erasmus+ Project Results Platform, ensuring availability to others. The partner schools will work together on eTwinning platform Twinspace, develop the activities and create new tasks even after the end of the EU funding. Students have been in contact with each other via our old etwinning projects and will continue to develop international relations and improve communication and English skills with their peers from different European countries. With this project we will provide young students an ability to get known to different cultures, languages and lifestyles, understand and respect them.
During the 24-month long project period the schools’ managers and ambassadors will meet in totally 6 times. Each partner will host a project meeting in their school in order to develop and improve the quality of teachers & students training events. The first and the last meeting will be teacher training activities. Other four meetings will be with 156 students aged from 10–15 .So we will be able to come closer to the excellence. If we can properly perform the project in our schools, the precious jewels won’t vanish, they will conversely glitter.
