Project Summary

The project „The concept of motor activities in Kindergartens – innovation & international exchange“ was a school partnership between 4 kindergartens in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg. We worked together with all the partners to develop and to improve a profile and a concept of Kindergarten with the motor activities and healthy life style. It was very important for us throughout the whole project to have a mutual exchange of experiences and present knowledge, as well as the common development of methods of daily integrated physical activities for children between 1-7 years of age.
Currently, it is known in many European countries that children do not move enough already in the early years and many of them have unhealthy live styles.
With the help of an innovative valid concept, kindergartens can make an influence on the everyday lives of children, thus promoting the healthy life style of children and families and to work in a mutual exchange with other kindergartens on own concepts and to gain new ideas and insights.
In these 2 years we had the possibility to organize 6 transnational meetings where colleagues of all the participating kindergartens could share their experience and opinion on this topic. They had the possibility as well to participate in the development of the common activity kindergarten concept.
The obtained findings and results, are summarized in a leaflet which can be obtained on the website of the participating kindergartens for free. The leaflet exists in German and English language and other translations may be presented later on.
