Project Summary

The project of the Biennial of Figural Drawing and Painting was created at the Elementary Art School of Karel Pádivý twelve years ago with the aim of establishing a missing platform for regular presentation of pupil figurative work. Therefore, we have decided to extend this successful project in its seventh year to include an international and educational dimension. Its target groups include pupils aged 6 to 19 and educators dedicated to their education in the field of visual arts and its history. We expect this seventh year to be the first year of expanding the Biennial to include foreign cooperation, when we plan to organize a traveling exhibition of the selection of entries for the Biennial in three different countries, always associated with educational activities for students and teachers.
