Project Summary

We created this project for two main reasons: first it was the idea to make our students feel more involved and interested in their learning process, thus improving their school outcomes, and, secondly, there was the desire to promote a successful dialogue among people coming from different European countries.
We basically aim at
1 encouraging our students to use computers and other technological devices in the study process, in order to increase their involvement in learning and, consequently, improve their school results;
2 making students aware of the European values by exposing them to a multiplicity of ideas, values, principles, etc. as a way to become acquainted with a “united diversity”.
The partner schools taking part in this project come from :HU,RO,MK,ES,TR.
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of this project are
1 to boost students’ motivation and help them have better school results (better results at the end of the school year expected for at least 40% of the participating students). This can prevent early school drop-out and create a more positive environment where students to thrive;
2 to work on students’ soft skills such as ICT, teamwork, decision making, problem solving, flexibility (expected results : improvement in 40% of the participating students); these skills are very demanded on the work market in companies and by employers;
3 to increase students’ curiosity about other countries and cultures, and help them easily accept diversity (at least at 60% of the participating students). It brings a positive attitude that can lead to better understanding the challenges of our era;
4 to improve communication skills in English -100% of the participating students This is a valuable ability, very much needed for academic purposes and for job roles
5 to create cohesion among different European countries.This can help build a genuine sense of belonging to Europe

NUMBER AND PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS
The participants involved in this project will be 15 to 18 years old students of the partner schools, namely a target group of approximately 250 people per school. Some of these students (approximately 100 in all from the five partner schools) will participate in at least one LTTA and will take part in all steps of the project; all the other students will be involved in the project activities that will take place in their own country. Students will belong to different environments (rural, urban), ethnicities and religions, so that they can learn from one another.
40 teachers will guide the students in doing the project, in particular ICT, Maths, Literature, Religious studies and English teachers.
METHODOLOGY
The project covers the following areas
A1 Project management: each partner is supposed to follow the agreed time-line that summarizes the activities and fixes its duration and deadlines
A2.A team of teachers (Maths, Literacy, Languages, Computer Science) and administrative staff, accompanied by the coordinator of every school, will carry out and monitor the activities, beginning with the selection of the students, organizing preparatory workshop sessions and the preparation for LTTA
A3.As ICT is the main tool of the project, ICT sessions will be held, for teachers and for students before, during and after LTTA.If some of the partners do not possess the necessary knowledge, ICT ”help” sessions will be held internationally via web cam; whenever possible, the students will teach their peers, nationally as well as internationally
A4. Dissemination is a key part of the project; it will be planned in each partner school for parents, for the province schools, involving local authorities and associations connected with the partner school; dissemination will be realized through the media and by every channel internationally available. Participant students will be included in peer to peer activities in order to share their new competences and experience, inside and outside their schools
A5. In each partner school, teachers will make use of the created materials and of the new methods during regular classes. Achievement will be evaluated by comparing the results and the motivation attained by other groups of students.Participants (teachers and students) will peer-educate both in and outside their school
RESULTS AND IMPACT
Students will develop their knowledge of ICT tools for learning and their practical skills, such as creating story-trailers, on-line quizzes, mini-lessons, digital artwork and projects.They will enhance motivation for studying.Teachers will learn good practices and share teaching methods,enhance digital skills.
