Project Summary

CONTEXT
The Renewable Energy Directive sets up a general arrangement for the generation and advancement of energy from renewable resources in the EU. It necessities the EU to meet at slightest 20% of its total needs of energy with renewables till 2020 – to be accomplished via the fulfillment of personal nationwide objectives.
Because of this larger context, we have set up this organization in order to raise the mindfulness of pupils concerning the need to enhance the usage of renewable resources of energy, which is hoped to ascend by 7% in the following 10 years all around Europe (in accordance with the improved Renewable Energy Directive). We would like them to pick up a profound information of how these sources of energy are utilized, make them search by way of PBL and STEAM , draw their notice to the gains and disadvantages of all energy resources and give a setting for inventive and critical considering, where students evaluate, investigate and examine, create concrete outcomes cooperatively.

TARGETS
The project points to form the bases for the 5 partner nations to collaborate and exchange applications within the field of sources of renewable energy and sustainable generation and utilization via actions planned for pupils, which means:
1. to create their perceiving concerning scientific conceptions and procedures in the generation of feasible energy
2. to create their general consciousness as to substitute resources of energy and how their utilization could be increased
3. to develop abilities and competencies by way of interdisciplinary projects in the STEM area
4. to develop cooperation, group work and interaction abilities of pupils and instructors
5. to improve soft abilities – analytical and critical interpreting, creativeness – so as to promote students’ employability
6. empower instructors to exchange school models and applications in the fields of STEM, ICT, coding, robotics which could be conveyed into their schools
7. enhance self-consciousness and intercultural mindfulness of young European people, in addition to fostering European citizenship and EU approaches in the realm of renewable energy utilization.

ACTIONS
C1 Conventional and elective energy sources– using up and effect on the surroundings
C2 energy of water and STE(A)M
C3 energy of wind and STE(A)M
C4 Solar Energy and STE(A)M
C5 Sustainable energy in the future – planning smart, eco-friendly province models

MEMBERS
120 pupils at the age of 16-17 from general teaching high schools and 40 guiding English instructors, IT, Physics, Science, so on.

OUTCOMES
– introductions concerning renewable sources of energy and statistics and inclinations from the 5 partner nations
– broadsheets for campaigns enabling European people to employ solar energy more.
– introductions as to elective building systems
– designs of buildings employing elective forms of insulating equipment
– simulations of power stations
– STEM projects – anemometers, wind vanes, solar cookers, so on.
– Search information and results
– simulations/types of sustainable provinces
Instructors are going to create interchange reports where we are going to incorporate information assessing the quality of the actions, the effect of the actions on members, recordings and pictures taken in the course of the interchanges.
Other deliverables: Europass mobility documents, first and last assessment forms, criticism forms, self-evaluation papers, pupil watching papers, members’ testimonials, dispersion platforms, eTwinning interaction platform, project ultimate brochure “STEM opinions for high school”.

EFFECT
Pupils and instructors progress individually and in a professional way.
By way of the project actions, the school is going to foster its image in the native society as an organization which makes pupils ready for the future and matches the 21st century requirements.
The collaboration with the native society is going to progress via arrangements and mutual understandings with native specialists and firms within the field of energy. Native agents are going to be welcomed to go to a few of the project exercises, which could lay the ground for future collaboration among native organizations in other projects in relation with renewable energy or alike.

The schools are going to learn/progress a European measurement, which indicates openness and adaptability to the continuously-changing world of instruction. This is going to enhance our opportunities of creating modern projects with present or future partners in the realm of robotics. This is one of our precedence, as well.
