Project Summary
The main idea of the project was to prepare and implement high quality long-term education course through 4 trainings with the aim to support professional and personal development of youth work practitioners and activists in the area of developmental community youth work with LGBTI persons. The specific objectives of the project were:1. To build capacities of youth work practitioners and activists for planning, implementing and evaluating developmental youth work programmes with LGBTI people in their communities;2. To support exchange of good practices examples and experience in community work with LGBTI young people in the Western Balkans;3. To create, promote and deliver booklet of practices and methodologies in developmental community youth work with LGBTI youth in the Western Balkans to wider youth work public.The main project results achieved are:1. 1. Developed and implemented 4 trainings covering range of topics in relation to developmental community youth work with LGBTI young people for at least 34 youth work practitioners/activists.2. Implemented 11 programmes of youth work with LGBTI youth in local communities that included at least 80 LGBTI young people in total.3. Printed and distributed booklet of developmental youth work practices with LGBTI youth in the Balkans, in 7 national languages and in English4. Series of different personal and group testimonials in relations to importance of community youth work for LGBTI young people (blogs, vlogs, animations, etc.)The project is designed to have 8 main activities: 4 mobility activities and 4 capacity building activities of which one is delivered as a sets of workshops in local communities of the partner organisations.The project recognises 4 target groups: 1. Core target group includes representatives of the partners’ organisations organised in project consortium team (9 of them); 2. Direct target group: youth work practitioners, activists and volunteers, active in the LGBTI CSOs in the Balkan region; 3. Indirect group are young LGBTI persons at local level who participate in workshops organised by direct group; 4. LGBTI local communities who will benefit through enriched programmes of partner organisations.Project duration is 21 month, starting with 1st of October 2017, with ending date 30th of June 2019Partner organisations in the project are:- Grupa “IZADJI” from Serbia (Applicant)- Montenegrin LGBTIQ Association “Queer Montenegro” from Montenegro- Fondacija CURE from Bosnia & Herzegovina- Tuzla Open Center from Bosnia & Herzegovina- Association for critical approach to gender and sexuality “Subversive Front” from Macedonia- Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia from Macedonia- Center for Social Group Development – CSGD from Kosovo- Mladejka LGBT organizatsiya Deystvie from Bulgaria- Youth Peace Group Danube from Croatia (that replaced Transparent organisation).
