Project Summary
Context :
The project aims to promote sustainable development, through specific topics address the cultural heritage utilisation and conservation, increase and test measures to adapt for the climate change and empower /integrate the ethnic and culnerable minorities. Besides that the project want to strengthen the capacity of the partners in their effort to provide high quality training and education for youth. The project is focused on the tailored training of the trainers and teachers of sending countries in host countries (which can benefit from the training of their own staff as well ). The project will deal with specific training needs (in specific topics listed ) and fine tuned during the training needs assessment of specific selected participants.
Main Objective : Increase the skills of youth workers, enable the participation of youth in enforcement of society to take real steps toward sustainable development.
Specific Objectives
1) Develop and increase competences of the trainers, teachers and educators of the partners to improve their work with youth and children
2) Empower youth and children in participation on innovative sustainable development initiatives
3) Establish local sustainable initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing the active participation of the region’s people in meeting the challenges and deciding on the direction of its sustainable
development and prosperity.
The project aims to increase the sensitivity of people towards negative social and environmental phenomena in society, but also use it to develop creative economy in important areas of tourism, culture, environment and urban/rural development. The ultimate aim of the project is to improve the local sustainability in all three areas (economic, social and environmental). This improvement should happen through shared and passed knowledge of consortia partners and their trainers, teachers to the target group of local trainees from 6 partner and several other beneficiary countries and particiaption of motivated young people. The project through visual arts, multi-cultural approach, local initiatives of youth and creative environment wants to contribute to local sustainability. This contribution should happen through the preparation and dissemination of new guidebooks, through so called training mobilities where the previously and newly developed intellectual outputs (guidebooks, learning courses) will be updated and practiced. The project aims to develop and test an innovative educational process based on the development and testing of efficient and tested tools in area of creative economy, culture, craftsmanship and integration. The project will enable exchange of best practices, methods of teaching, encourage and train the target groups and project participants to change their attitude in areas of creative economy, environment conservation, climate change adapation, and in areas of social inclusion. Besides the partners will share management skills ( simple project preparation, management, accounting, monitoring and evaluation). The primary target groups of the project are teachers, trainers, lecturers working with youth and youth and children. They come from number of various institutions recruited by consortia partners. Together with experts and skilled trainers they will develop the planned activities and outputs and use them in their home environment. The main beneficiaries of the project are students, young people. The project will blend together stakeholders from various sectors and social groups – from formal education (high schools – students and teachers), through non-formal education (environmental and rural NGOs and local communities) up to unemployed, ethnic minorities). The project builds on previous trustful and good relations and past projects among project consortia partners and their common visions and missions – to serve the communities and also builds on multi-sectoral approach, dialogue and diversity of cultures and traditions of European countries.
Expected Learning Outcomes :
• Competences in areas identified by the sender partner (in area of sustainable development –
specificall y in needed area of intervention (environmental. Social or commercial).
• Specific skills in areas offered by the host partners: urban environment – forests / exlusion Roma issues , cultural assests and tourism, climate change adaptation)
• The outcomes will be assessed by training provider (host partner) at the end of training including satisfaction and the sending partner through application of achived skills in their own trainings and initiatives or programs.
Long term benefit : sustainable operation of CANLI Network as platform for advanced learning, training and creative culture.
