Project Summary

The project mainly focus on environmental issues such as pollution, biodiversity, renewable energy, recyccling, frorestration, water and healty diet. The coordinator of the project is Yenimahalle Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi from Turkey and the partners are from Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Portugal and Slovenia. The applicant and partner organisations’ student age range are very similar. The pupils’ age range is 12-18. The partner schools have experiences in Erasmus+ projects. Some of the partner schools are also eco-schools and some are running environmental project in their schools.
Schools which are not eco school will apply for being eco-school. The environmental education will be the main educational philosophy of schools. The general objectives of the project are:
– enhance awareness and knowledge about environmental issues and problems
– increase students’ sensitivity to appreciate nature and protect it.
– encourage students to bring solutions to environmental problems
– increase students’ motivation to be involved in environmental activities such as campaigns.
– improve foreign language, ICT skills, personal, social skills.
– create cooperation between schools
The starting date of project is December, 2019. It will last 24 months. In autumn and spring seasons, six learning teaching training activities will be realised in six countries. From each school three students and two accompanying people (teachers) will attend LTT activities, except Portuguese mobility. Two students and two accompanying persons will attend to Portuguese LTT and two teachers and two pupils will attend the Turkish mobility because of budget limitation. The contents of LTT activities were planned by each partner accroding to the objectives of the project in coordination with other partners. During the physical mobilities, virtual exchanges will be done via etwinning. Six virtual exchanges will be realized. NGOs working in the field of environment, munipicipalities, local authorities, university departments will make contribution to the project in some activities or provide logistic and technical support. During the preperation of the project, etwinning project with the id number of 190987 was lanuched. Activities about environmental issues will be shared on etwinning platform and students will use twinspace. Etwinning portal, social media, whatsapp groups, local press and media, project website will be used for dissemination activities. Seminars and meetings will be arranged for other school staff, students and parents. A memorial forest for the project will be created. Partners will have project boards in their schools. An e-book for the project will be published online.
