Project Summary
Non formal education sessions with series of mobility activities for youth workers, leaders and persons who would like to get involved in non formal education, multiplying methods and knowledge about human rights.Beneficiaries from the project:- 8 youth organizations from different corners of Europe that will increase their capacity to operate in human rights field as well in international projects – 26 Youth workers (paid or not paid) active in the youth organization mentioned before which will represent them; develop their competencies as human rights educators. – Young people from the partners countries; at least 900 young people coming from different backgrounds and regions, some of them subject of discrimination and human rights abuses themselves will participate in the workshops delivered by the youth workers.Aim is to develop competencies among youth workers to prepare, deliver and evaluate Human Rights Education Activities for young people (in order to have more acknowledged, skilled and pro-active youth towards various Human Rights problematic situations in their communities and in Europe in general).For more specific objectives we envision that – the youth organizations will increase their impact in the community by reaching new target groups with more professionalism;- the youth organization will mainstream human rights education in their projects- the youth organization will have a human rights based approach in their projects and the way they tackle social issues and vulnerable groups in their communities;- youth workers and young people will increase their knowledge and awareness level in topics such as: Human Rights (values, principles, study cases), Human Rights Education (methods, activities, results),social exclusion, intercultural dialogue, tolerance;- young people and youth workers will develop pro-active attitudes towards Human Rights ;- youth workers will develop their practical skills and competencies in Non Formal Education, specifically in Human Rights Education;- youth workers will develop their sense of initiative and entrepreneurial skills ;- youth workers will act as Human Rights Education multipliers in the benefit of young people affected by Human Rights violations in their communities ;- young people will become more active participants in the life of their communities and also of Europe in general.
