Project Summary
Each of the world historic period introduces different values, attitudes and perspectives. Pre-communist area was characterized by the extensive agricultural and forest management when acquiring vocational skills and competences belonged to the obvious and self-acting processes how to naturally master working activity. Humans esteemed local or regional natural resources as the most valuable and life-giving. The knowledge management was transferred to the descendants within the direct face-to-face working processes, who were later forced to leave the vocational development within oncoming historic periods, such as communism or global economy market trend pressures that caused irreparable harms to allow the vocations to have vanished.
The key objective of the Cautious Use of Natural Resources was to develop such innovative tools with the support of digital technologies that enabled the participants to acquire vocational skills and competences in the field of Environment & Organic Farming, Natural & Cultural Heritage Interpretation, Nature Protection that apply and exploit in their professional or personal life. Such new generation having been experienced within the direct working process is able in a more effortless way to transfer knowledge management to other descendants in the specific key areas such as Usage of Wild Herbs for the Human Health and Culinary Art, Landscape Management, Water Management in the Landscape, Farming (vegetable, fruit, cattle and other domestic animals), Horticulturism, Nature Gardens, Educational Gardens.
It needs to be noted that these project specific areas have been based on the implementation of the ORGANIC PRINCIPLES and ETHICS. Thus the participants became pretty aware of the benefits of the organic way of management towards nature protection, nature and human health, healthy life style. Not to use pesticides in the landscape management, not to consume foodstuff containing chemicals, implement nature-human friendly methods and technologies are the only ways to be able to keep the nature and its beauties for other generations. Nevertheless, it is not possible to do itwithout changing the human thinking towards the positive attitude to nature and its protection.
Within the project implementation other objectives were achieved, such as enhancement of intergenerational education, voluntarism, social cohesion, in/direct nature protection, promotion of EU citizenship and values or support of participants socially excluded from various health-socio-economic-geographic reasons.
Within the direct project activities there were supported 98 participants under LTTA including participants facing difficulties; 272 participants with fewer possibilities and 420 participants from Project Implementation and IOs category including under dissemination activities (workshops, training programs). In the indirect way around 12.000 participants during the dissemination process (festivals, social nets, dissemination of outputs, etc.).
During the two-year project implementation there was produced a training manual and a training programme on Environment & Organic Farming consisting of a direct and virtual training processes combination, such as practical activities, best practices and methodology on the one hand and e-learning form including up-to-date digital tools on the other hand. Last, but not least a web platform on the Environment and Organic farming activities net was launched including the farmers´ platform where the oncoming participants were able to acquire practically vocational knowledge in the proficiencies they needed. To achieve the results there was implemented the methodology on Conscious Use of Natural Resources, Environment Conservation, Organic Farming based on the development and validation of innovative outputs, training program and tools to be determined for project results disseminations. The project results the partner´s organizations achieved within collaborative works enable other oncoming participant to benefit from in the form of direct participation in the training program or acquiring the vocational knowledge, skills within practical and on-line activities or experience within the activities they are prepared by other farmers.
All the project results and objectives have still been disseminated on a large scale, such as disseminating e-book, e-learning program, blog and webinar sections, farmer´s platform on a local-regional-national-EU-international level. Training program on Environment & Organic Farming including the e-learning has been implemented into partners´ portfolio and is further verified among other adult learners, especially those of socially excluded.
The project results and objectives have also been very supportive when submitting other projects from EU funds. As a result, other projects based on the principles and results of the CONATURE project are being implemented.
