Project Summary
The European Partnership is made up of three countries with three authorities :
– In France, the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis (project coordinator),
– In Spain, the municipality of Badia del Vallès Barcelona,
– In Germany, the county of Anhalt- Bitterfeld .
Each partners have established approaches in their territories in order to promote a chosen orientation by the students : working groups, activities in schools, support devices, visits in businesses, etc. .
Each local approaches were compared and it has raised the desire to be part of a wider European approach in order to meet the objectives set by the Europe 2020 Strategy, both on reducing dropout rates in the European Union (EU) to less than 10% and increasing the employment rate to 75 % of the population of working age (20-64 years). This project is in keeping with the European education and training policy, the objectives of the programme Erasmus + and in coherence with current concerns about the links between education, training and the labour market.
This project is complementary to the actions already undertaken in the partner countries of the project. It can promote the connexion between different actors of the orientation and it aims to propose a methodology which could then be spread over the whole territory to develop an integrated approach of orientation issues among young people.
The project aims to introduce students to different sectors and trades, to propose a methodology of thinking to build their professional project or personnal project, while avoiding school leaving. The project develops two main objectives:
– Strengthen the construction of the personal project of the student,
– Promoting sectors of employment and vocational training in the territories of partner countries.
