Project Summary

Adolescence with many physiological and physical changes is a period of maturity and complex psychological evolution. At the same time, adolescence is a rupture with childhood with a lot of questions about adult future life.
From 11 to 18, teenagers free themselves from their parents. They assert their own desires, they look for new identification figures and new experiences, often against laws.
With their emancipation and integration desires in a peer group, adolescence is a critical period. Teenagers like taking risks and taking up challenges.
Adolescence is the right moment for experimentation of psychic active substances and unusual behaviour. If they are used to these habits, they could abuse and become dependent. The consumption levels of some products as alcohol or drug are high. Their healthy and social consequences are the main preoccupation of the European plans to fight against drugs and any addictions, for example video games. This kind of behavior, taking risks, may lead teenagers to bullying (as victim or as instigator).
Drugs and alcohol consumption is an important addiction but another new problem is compartmental addiction. Video games, internet and games of chance are an education and healthy important preoccupation. Addictive behavior can have an impact on teenagers’ development.
Adolescence is an important learning and emotional discovery period. Meanwhile, drugs and alcohol consumption and unusual behavior can stop teenagers’ good development and may disable them.
Thanks to Erasmus + project, all partners pool resources and skills and they help each participant to identifie and addictive behaviours. 500 teenagers between 12 and 19 learning in different kind of secondary school, technical vocational school and high school and 25 teachers of 5 European countries. Thanks to these daily participants, more persons will be aware of this issue.
Thanks to this project, all the partners wish pupils and teachers could identify those dangers and prevent them. This project aims to inform and advise parents because house is the first place to detect these dangers.
It suggests prevention and school help with multidisciplinary project and experts and associations that intervene in schools.
During a first meeting, European teachers plan different step to realize this project. They specify common and national actions.
First, the priority is teachers’ training. Then, mobilities will be planned to allow sharing experiences and productions. Each country realizes actions, which are explained in this document, like : sharing with local addiction victims associations, disseminating knowledges and realizations with new technology…
Thanks to these activities, this project aims to study prevention initiatives and to advise school staff, students and local community about these dangers.
This project is based on inclusive education. It permit to involved all students, whatever their origins, their competences, their specific needs…
All partners wish develop common values as tolerance, respect other people and laws, freedom and non-discrimination. The text of “Declaration on Promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education” (Paris, Tuesday 17 March 2015) reaffirms theses values through promoting European students exchanges.
All Erasmus + partners want to get all participants to become more responsible, in their behaviour and their consumption. They wish these European project values help teenagers to become free and responsible citizens.
