Project Summary

The ‘’correspons@(b)les project: Our European identity, our commitment – 365 days to act’’ inscribed itself in a will of cultural opening and European citizenship sensitization. Both partner schools agree to develop the ‘’living together’’ and ‘’doing together’’ ideas based on a common problematic. Use the diversity in order to build a committed and active European identity. Each partner shares the will to develop fundamental knowledges thanks to a project-based approach by including the whole school community towards unifying themes. Both schools will use their respective diversities in order to improve learning, thinking and exchanges.

The “Correspons@(b)les” project will be represented by 14 “ambassador” students during mobility but will concern the entire school community. It is a two-year long project, will permit to promote a coherent approach of teaching and learning languages.
Three themes will be developed :

– Increase awareness of young people about citizenship and participation to democracy in Europe.
Each school will organize ‘’international days’’ about common themes (Children Rights, Women Rights, inclusion promotion, struggle against discriminations and Europe Days). This way, our young people will be encouraged to socially commit themselves and practice a more active citizenship.

– Commitment in innovating, cooperative and collaborative projects:
their spirit of initiative and the fundamental values of European Union will be strengthened with several moments of exchange and reflection towards common themes in order to create commited productions. Creativity and culture will be the bases of productions such as a webradio, a videoclip on the theme of E.U and promotional TV commercials about European citizenship.

– Innovative teaching methods and education policies:
Students will be able to be actors of their own learning by encouraging commitment, empowerment and connexion between young European people thanks to many virtual and physical activities

A two years organization will grant, on the one hand, to impulse a research and a sensitization about European values and, on the other hand, to build a promotive campaign towards responsible European citizenship. To do so, students will receive 4 kinds of collective and collaborative activities :

1. EXCHANGE AND MUTUALIZATION:
With the objective to discover the historical creation of E.U, the way the institutions work and the daily actions of E.U towards the ‘’living together’’ idea (sensitization).

2. CREATION:
The objective here is to develop the innovating and creative spirit by taking into account each participation and the diversity of the participants.

3. SHARING
To report on and share experiences by collaborative writings about commited European citizenship.

4. DIFFUSION
The point here is to present, enhance and communicate about practical productions towards the ‘’international days’’, the commitment and identity of Europe.

Both establishment profiles, although different, are linked by their audience. Young people are globally disadvantaged in an isolated geographical space. (external Paris suburb and island). Thanks to the creation of this partnership, we could build together a cultural awareness and work together on each student success by developping the fundamental knowledges as well as ambition, inclusion and academic resilience. The ‘’correspons@(b)les project: Our European identity, our commitment – 365 days to act’’ will be the one time chance to enlarge their cultural and professional horizon on an European scale. On the long term, it will be a chance to make the European values live by sensitization, empowerment and citizen commitment of our young people.
