Project Summary

We are living in 21. century. In this century students are able to reach information in everywhere but they do not know what to do whith this information. So at schools, counselling is becoming a more powerful tool than teaching. We believe that this is what our students need at most and at first.

The aim of “counselling services at schools” is to focus professional and non professional councelling services at all partner schools in secondary level. Firstly we want each school to be informed about activities going on in other partner schools.Then we want to increase quality of existing activities in each school and add new ones to them. We are planning to adapt to our schools the most succesful results of the project.

The project has three main subjects and it will contain national and transnational activities with their subtopics.

Subject one is career orientation. More than %50 of our activities will be about career orientation at schools. Here the main aim is to reduce future concern of our students. The way to reach this aim is to help our students to know themselves and making right choices. Some topics we will work on are: Education of career planning, personality and career orientation tests, career days, job presentations, visiting universities, companies, factories, preparing CV, studying abroad, exchange programs, internship programs, job applications… In addition to these each partner school will prepare a proposal of cooperation agreement to work with a university, company or factory.

Subject two is about personal development and especially personal development of high school students. Aim is to teach our students some skills which are essential for work life but not taught at schools. For example; speed-reading methods, memory techniques, effective studying methods, time management, team work, entrepreneurship and etc. In this topics we will work with the support of experts, school counselling teachers and school psychologists. There will be presentations, courses and interviews.

Subject three is; main problems of the students. Stress, self confidence, bullying, violence at school, parents pressure on students, future concern, succes concern and etc. In additon to these sctudent-teacher relationship, parent-school relationship, motivation at school and addiction types (tecnolology, smoking, alcohol, drug and etc.) Students will learn to protect themselves when they face these problems and who or where to ask help from.

Our project will have results such as brochure, presentation, reports, researches, internship programs, surveys, exhibitions, visits, courses, interviews, short films, CVs, use of eTwinning, Europass Mobility Documents, and Instagram account… All work done during our project will be explained in Final Document of the Project.

In our project each country will join to transnational parts with 9 teachers and 21 students in total. The students’ ages are between 14-19.

We hope that each of our school to learn from other partner schools new activities and continue to apply them with their own facilities even after the end of the project. For example “Career Days” activity could be arranged every year by every school. The aplication of “One day internship” in general high schools last year could be arranged every yeary. These activities are quite sustainable.
