Project Summary

The project “CreADtivity: Creativity sessions for vulnerable adults through art”, is a multilateral Strategic Association between 5 European countries (Spain, Italy, Greece, Finland and Slovenia) main objective of which centres upon developing creativity, through related activities with art, in adults, a vulnerable state, thus demonstrating that art and creativity are very useful tools for the development of firm and clear work skills. In this way we hope to encourage these adults to have new ideas that help them to strengthen themselves in a personal way or in work environment.

Other important objectives include:
1.Elaborating a creative learning method based on art, containing approaches that meet the particular needs of the target groups, increasing the motivation of adults, improving their self-esteem.
2.Reducing the negative aspects caused by the current COVID-19 crisis, promoting the creation of opportunities, through non-formal learning, based on creativity
4.Valuing art, creativity and culture, as vital tools to strengthen people, achieving aspects such as equality, respect and union
The target group is adults from 30 years of age, whose vulnerability has increased due to the current health crisis.

Regarding the structure of the project, there will be several phases:

A. Research phase, and implementation of good practices for the development of creativity in adults; research on the current national situation of the target group. Research on the promotion of creativity through art, as regeneration and social impulse. Elaboration of 6 creative modules to implement good practice sessions for adults.

B. Short training event for member of staff. In this way, we will provide the organisations of our group with greater professional skills, through solid training, which strengthens them, ensuring that they meet the project objectives.

C. Sessions for the implementation of creativity in adults, through the modules developed by the partners. 6 participants per partner will be selected for the implementation of the sessions.

D. Execution of the final product: A “Manual for the development of creativity in adults” will be prepared, which will be launched to institutions, organisations and interested adults, ensuring the project’s sustainability. The manual will be presented through local events, in all partner countries.

The methodology that will be used to carry out the project will be collaborative and dynamic among all partners, through non-formal education activities. From before the approval of the project, the tasks and functions of each one will be clear, we will have constant and fluid communication, always taking into account the proposals for improvement of the parties involved. The transnational meetings will be fundamental for a greater rapprochement and cooperation between the partners and the dissemination of the project will be very wide at the local, national and European level.

In terms of results, it aims to:
1. Achieve, through creative processes based on artistic activities, a reduction in the number of adults who are in vulnerable situations, for social and work reasons, aggravated by COVID-19.
2. Compile and exchange good practices to promote, based on research and study of sources, the achievement from creativity, personal and professional development of individuals.
3. Bring together the shared knowledge of institutions, stakeholders and citizens, of the proven benefits of the development of creativity, through artistic activities, for the personal and professional empowerment of adults.

The impact will be very positive for all parties involved but primarily on adults involved, as it will improve their situation through the development of creativity, sensitising the community about its benefits, who will discover new skills, and provide an improvement for their future; The impact will also be positive for the personnel involved by each partner, who will obtain new non-formal methodologies, which will increase their experience in the field of non-formal education in adults, through creative methods, enriching their professional profile.

The project is closely linked to the concept of “sustainability”. So that the expected benefits can be produced, and therefore the project responds to expectations, being able to be used in the long term in all countries, whether they are involved or not, the activities will be maintained. The “Manual for the development of creativity in adults” can be downloaded free of charge on the website of the project and of all partners.
