Project Summary
<< Background >>
Our organisation decided to apply for the project motivated by the experience form the process of organising cultural events for youth where we could notice that in many cases young people involved in the process didn’t know how to plan and organise the event and the adults who were working with them didn’t count with the tool which could be uses to plan the process as well as let young people to introduce them into organisation of any cultural event. As culture is a element which appeal to everyone and is an important element of our identity we wanted to share our knowledge and together with our partner go through the process where culture is an element which allows to develop collaboration between partners from different partners as well as facilitate shaping skills which are necessary for every young European: entrepreneurship, openness to dialogue, planning, working in team. Together we wanted to create a tool which we use and can honestly say we tried how it works in practise.
<< Objectives >>
With the implementation of this project we wanted to establish the partnership in a field of culture with Spanish partner, together we aimed to create a tool which can be used by everyone who wants to organise cultural event. Other objectives were to prepare a group of young people who can share the knowledge about preparing the event among their peers. It was also the way to improve the way we had worked on our events. Within the participants we aimed to encourage them to develop their interest and while preparing events participants were to shape their personal skills and recognise potential. The side effect was to buit personal relationships among all involved persons, which can be a starting point for more collaboration.
<< Implementation >>
Within this project we had a series of meetings and trainings which step by step led us to prepare the artistic production in Poland and Spain. Trainings were organised for the participants the way they could gradually learn why the culture is such an important element of our life and how to prepare a cultural event the best possible way. This knowledge they had gained they could put in practice during the meetings in Poland and Spain.
We had a training online : 3 meetings dedicaed to the question “What does culture means for us”? , 4 trainings dedicated to planing and preparing the cultural event, one cultural event in Kielce, one cultural event in Spain (both included workshops and performing for audince)
<< Results >>
The output of this project is a manual with example of the good practise which step by step lead any user through the process of preparing the cultural event by young people. The manual includes the general information about the various approaches to what is the importance of the culture, and what it means . From this short introduction, followed by example of the pool realised among young people we pass to the steps of the training which was done within this project with participants and then repeated by them in their local groups.
