Project Summary

Recent researches made in Denmark and Lithuania showed that there is a permanent need of social, pedagogical and psychological services for young people that are in a risk group. What is more, there is lack of provision of different services for young people, such as street work, non-formal education, youth information, etc.

The main aim of the project “Development of street work in Lithuania and Denmark” – to ensure qualitative development of street work in Vilnius City, Zarasai Region Municipalities in Lithuania and Alborg City Municipality in Denmark by improving quality of learning offers in street work field, increasing it’s actuality by creating new and innovative methods and supporting the share of best practices.

During this project new packets of services which will cover all proposed opportunities in Lithuania and Denmark will be created and implemented in the project territory (3 municipalities) and project will ensure qualitative development and integration of these new services in 3 municipalities. Also, street work, mobile youth work, apprenticneship program platform will be created, broadened and implemented. What is more, during this project international apprenticeship program will be organized in Antaliepte village (Zarasai Region) and new opportunities of gaining additional working experiences will be created for young people from Vilnius City Municipality, Zarasai Region Municipality and Alborg City Municipality. In addition to that, project will strengthen cross-sectoral and international cooperation seeking permanent provision of services and will inform all partners and society about services which are provided by project partners.

Project priorities: promoting youth social inclusion and well-fare by provision of combined services seeking to solve youth unemployment problems. The main target group of this project – administrative personnel of open youth centers and organizations which are working with youth, youth workers and young people.

Expected results of the project – 3 new packets of services which could be provided in youth work field will be created and integrated in budgets of all project municipalities. Also, during this project new apprenticeship programs’ platform will be created for young people. In addition to this, competences of administrative employees of open youth centers, youth workers and young people will be developed.
