In modern world, the cultural attitudes are losing their significance against globalization which leads people to be stereotype, urbanization which leads people to be mechanic and modernization which leads people to be isolated. What is more, the pandemic process leads people to be alone and apathetic so, the project aims to evoke intangible cultural heritage as resiliency component, to prompt the youth as the social dynamics and to empower the youth workers as social leaders . The core objectives of the project are to awake the significance of intangible cultural heritage among youth to a sustainable and indulgent future and to promote the quality and efficiency of youth work.
The project mainly bases on the activities which will be carried out by the youth under the coordinating of the youth workers.
Five organisations from Greece, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Turkey which are directly related to the main objectives of the project will collaborate to accomplish the targets. Five transnational meetings and one short termed learning activity have been planned during the 24 months of the project. The youth will attend to each transnational meeting along with the youth workers and have training in Greece on “Formal, not formal, Informal education about how to recognize and analyse Intangible Cultural Heritage in each participant Country” and “digital skills” during 5 days.
The intellectual outputs of the project are formed as double-barreled. The first intellectual output serves as gathering youth and youth workers in a table to handle the issue theoretically. The project aims to create an innovative, comprehensible and applicable guide for youth workers in the way of communicate and collaborate with the youth. The innovative guide will be composed to the results of current situation analyses and meetings which will be carried out by the youth workers and questionnaires and interviews conducted to youth. The youth will have equal rights to express their ideas, comments and critics throughout the creating process of the methodology. The guide will represent the “theoretical study” of the project. The theoretical study will illuminate the paths of the youth workers and youth in the context of cooperating and collaborating together on intangible cultural heritage context.
On the other hand, the second intellectual output serves as providing a base for youth and youth workers to work together in practically under the banner of a same aim. The project aims to create an open access, multilingual and interactive virtual platform. The digital museum will represent the “practical study” of the project. The practical study will enable the youth and youth workers to walk in the same path in the context of cooperating and collaborating together on intangible cultural heritage.
The training will be conducted for youth workers and youth selected according to the criteria created by the partner organisation. Through the training, the participants will acquire the knowledge of what is inherited to humankind from our ancestors and the impacts of the heritage on social norms. Intangible cultural heritage will be stressed throughout the project to emphasize on inclusive society which disregards differences of race, gender, class, generation, and geography, and ensures inclusion, equality of opportunity as well as. The youth who have to restrain any interactions will have a chance to learn own and others ICH in details.
Throughout the activities, the youth and the youth workers will chase after the traces of the intangible cultural heritage elements of their own local arena to learn what is the legacy of yesterday, what is the aspect of life today and what will we transmit to the next generations tomorrow.
The project bases on the enabling the youth own the values of intangible cultural heritage elements living in their own society and having indulgence on the differences of the other societies. By introducing the differences among the cultures, the youth will be flexible, open-minded and willing to respect to all social perspectives and by adapting their own cultural heritage elements, the youth will be self-confident, sensitive and conscious. Awaking the cultural attitudes which link us together is initial to create a sustainable respectful and peaceful society. The cultural attitudes do not mean to rigid doctrines forcing individual to amalgamate all aspects of life in a pot, on the contrary it provides to represent all perspectives of living ways, behaviors and beliefs.
