Project Summary

Our project, involving six European Schools, aims to build European citizenship among students and their families and to reinforce it among the adults who educate them.

Sharing, practice and comparative study will be the foundation of this work. Openness to others, seeking links beyond our differences will develop a sense of belonging to a community. Cooperation and collaboration between pupils, educational exchanges between adults will lay the foundation for active European citizenship.

Through the choice of partners who teach in cycle 1 and in the public sector, we have the will to work for the development of an accessible to all, high quality level of education for the youngest people .

The chosen object, arts and culture, from the tradition to the contemporary creation, will allow a better knowledge of our own inheritance and its enrichment by the discovery of this of other countries.
The process of progressive decentration will lead from the particular to the universal.

A programming of activities, precisely distributed over time, will allow pupils and teachers of establishments of different size and functioning, to cooperate in the construction of common and evaluable knowledge and skills, referring to the European base.

The nature of the proposed activities should allow language skills to be developed particularly by promoting benchmarking, analysis, comparison and categorization. By systematizing these intellectual postures, we should increase the chances of successful entry into learning to read for all our students.

By paying particular attention to the valorization of all cultures, all forms of participation, all productions and all engagements, students will be able to assert their self-confidence and we will be able to avoid the birth of the precocious feeling of school failure often predictive of early school leaving

The accompaniment of special needs audiences, access to equal opportunities will be our ongoing concern. This project will aim to reduce cultural and social gaps and integrate students and families through active and playful participation

Each activity will be an opportunity for experiences and learning through a variety of productions, regularly using a diverse but limited panel of digital tools to build mastery among teachers and raise students awareness .

In addition to traditional e-mails, virtual communication and
the data sharing, will be promoted through the use of collaborative remote working tools , especially via the eTwinning platform dedicated to European exchanges.

Dissemination to an enlarged community has been thought of since the creation of the project and will take the form of a common website, which will present an interactive synthesis of the work.

Improving language skills in the mother tongue and in English, working language, will make sense in both written and spoken exchanges. The learning will be done gradually according to the age of the pupils or the initial level of the adults.

The use and enhancement of each original language will be systematic and all documents produced will be multilingual, the transversal language being English.

Common learning, teaching and training events will include members of the entire educational community. They will allow the observation and the concrete study of the strategies and devices of the different European school and educational systems, thus improving the professional gestures and the capacity of decentration and analysis.
The transversal skills of organization, communication, and management and management will be attested by Europass setting up

The final product, a multi-lingual animated film composed of short cartoons produced by each country and subtitled in English, will be screened in local cinemas or cultural and / or public entertainment structures with which each school will have established a partnership since the beginning of the project

Through all these communication and dissemination actions we want to give a European dimension to all our schools We also hope to obtain lasting recognition of this desire for this specificity from the supervisory and territorial institutions.
