Project Summary

Bullying at school is gaining more and more prominence. Fighting among children, a mockery which leads a group of children who gang up against a comrade, what establishment is not confronted with these scenes of contempory conflicts ?
Besides, the current Minister of National Education, Sir BLANQUER, declared that: “bullying can be present everywhere, in primary schools, in secondary schools, high schools. It can literally undermine the lives of your children. Repeated violence be it verbal, physical or psychological, in trhe yard or in the Internet, in hallways or at the canteen, on the way to school are unacceptable. To fight against these intolerable practices, adults must be united in schools to protect the victims from the firsts signs, and prevent the stalkers. Breaking with the logic of harassment is also to prevent by fighting against all representations that can drive a child to disrespect his comrades.
It is because of the great need to fight collectively and ambitiously that we have developped with our partners this particular project. The six schools taht come from four corners of Europe, Finland, Greece, Czech Republic, Ireland, France and Croatia have as a common point the desire to give their pupils during these ttwo years of project, all the tools necessary to identify bullying, denounce and combat it.
Our primary pupils will be in secondary schools ans it seems to be essential to us to raise awareness of this scourge in all its forms and in particuliar cyber-bullying. This generation, as we’ve noticed in our schools, show a certain naivety about the use of social networks. This project will include a component on cyber-bullying to protect them from the dangers of the Internet such as sharing photos or invitation from lustful people who wish to become a “friend”.
With our partners at schools, it seems important to us that this project is tinged with optimism and finding happiness in school. This is why one of the dimensions of the project is the promotion and installation of a serene school climate made up of tolerance for tolerance for differences and cooperation between the students. It is interesting to offer all the players in school life a place where they can be themselves and have a diffrent experience thant that of relationship that is forced upon them.
Our activities will be carried out troughout the two years period based on keyt phrases that allow to follow the progreess of the project.
1/ What is bullying ? Students will create posters to identify bullying in all its forms
2/ I respect you, you respect me, we respect each other ! Reading articles, novels on respect. Writing novels and creating a common book.
3/ I have rights and duties. Creation of a charter on the rights and duties of a pupil – european citizen
4/ Cooperate to better know and respect each other. Creation of a resource manual cooperative outdoor games
5/ I act against conflicts. Creation of animation clips on resolution and prevention of conflicts.
6/ Cyber-bullying, everybobdy is concerned ! Creation of short scenes on situations of cyber-bullying that pupils may encounter, especially in secondary schools.

Thank to this project entitled “don’t be a bully, be buddy !” we hope thar our pupils, with their european comrades, can create a serene school climate where we can live together trough our differences and we will also be enlightened european citizens.
