Project Summary

“Entrepreneurship Education for youth Employment” (acronym E3) implemented innovative actions towards increasing NEETs employability through fostering Social Youth Entrepreneurship (SYE) and created new innovative tools in entrepreneurship education with a special focus on the learning needs of NEETs. E3 involved 14 partners from Europe (Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Slovenia), Africa (Malawi, Uganda, Togo) and Asia (Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam, China) and the mobility of 38 youth workers. The project created synergies among transnational consortium and fostered its capacity in the field of entrepreneurship education and work with NEETs.
The main aim of E3 was to foster NEETs employability by exploiting full potential of social entrepreneurship. The activities directly impacted youths’ skills and capacities through SYE education and increased NEETs potential to be employed, especially in the field of social enterprise that being a newly appeared labour market sector lacks human resources and due to its social focus can employ society’s fragile members.
The specific objectives of the E3 were:
– to build capacity of organizations in the field of SYE education and working with NEETs thus to increase quality of work in the field of NEETs thanks to the tools developed throughout the project;
– to create better conditions for NEETs entering the labour market through fostered cooperation and capacity of the organizations that target NEETs;
– to support NEETs in acquiring transferable knowledge and skills through special tools (manual) and activities (international contest for social enterprise idea);
– to transfer and exchange methodologies and tools on SYE education among participating organizations;
– to create new comprehensive tools and practical guidance on SYE transferred into manual for young people aiming to encourage and guide youth in starting social enterprises;
– to encourage creation of new social enterprises through the International Social Enterprise Idea Contest that allows combining interactive forms of learning and visibility activities;
– to promote entrepreneurship, active participation and non-formal learning within EU and outside Europe.

The main activities implemented in the project were:
– Kick-off meeting with partners
– International Training Course for youth workers “EntreprenEUrship shapes the future”
– Creation of a manual on NEETs and Social Youth Entrepreneurship
– Local LABs “Out of LAByrinth”
– International Contest for Youth Entrepreneurs
– Online campaign and local dissemination events

The project was prepared capitalising on previous partners’ experiences and ongoing activities, capitalising on outcomes achieved in previous projects (under many EU programs), basing on a consortium joint research and debate
