Project Summary

“ECO experiences in European schools!” is proposed by Dinu Bratianu Technological High School – Romania together with Zespol Szkol Zawodowych nr 1 im. Commissioners Edukacji Narodowej w Bialej Podlaskiej – Poland, ÜLKÜ Muharrem Ertaş Anadolu Lisesi – Turkey and Escolas Agrupamento Nuno de Santa Maria – Portugal and Gymnasio Geniseas Xanthis – Greece. The project partners are schools with cultural experiences, religions, different nations.
The target group consists of 125 participants (70 students and 55 teachers) for each mobility from countries participating in the program.
objectives:
– improving skills, building skills and working skills by supporting critical thinking through teaching and learning through formal, non-formal and informal activities for 125 pupils in partner schools for 2 years in the field of environmental education with the aim of raising awareness environmental issues
– the development of pedagogical skills for carrying out formal and non-formal environmental activities for 55 teachers from partner schools for 2 years in order to implement educational activities in the schools they come from
Project activities include workshops, study visits, outdoor activities, power point presentations on environmental protection activities, both formal and non-formal and informal.
For the students in the target group of the project, it aims to raise awareness of environmental issues, improve project knowledge, improve language skills and communication, improve social skills, increase self-confidence and self-esteem by developing diverse skills, increasing ICT skills, motivating language learning, improving knowledge about partner countries and their culture, improving social and civic skills.
The project also helps educate students for sustainable development by making changes in their behavior in terms of energy saving in everyday life, strengthening the European dimension of education by developing the skills needed for continuing education and promoting European citizenship, and responsibility for the environment.
Project activities will add value to European educational projects previously implemented in our school that will have a positive social impact on target groups and the regional community. Our students will be more open to some socio-economic issues and will share ideas and concepts of European dimension. Participation in project students improves language learning, intercultural skills, motivation for information and documentation, self-confidence and self-awareness. We consider such extremely useful projects that bring added value to the educational process, allowing students to better assimilate concepts of environmental protection, develop language skills. Cooperation between participants from different countries offers them the opportunity to exchange experiences, practices and methodologies in their everyday lives that would otherwise have been done at national level. Partner experience completes each other. The added value of this partnership is reflected in the cooperation and the pooling of different experiences. Collaboration within the project increases the number of activities of each partner institution, enabling them to improve their knowledge and efficiency through transnational activities.
