Project Summary

In line with “Education 4.0”, we are planning to develop pupils’ competences and literacy skills so that they will be able to live sustainably in our society. Since we educate pupils for the future we do not know, we can only focus on developing competences and literacy. The development of competences and literacy is based on communication in three languages – Czech, German and English, which develops multilingualism and the ability to communicate with different communication partners in different situations.
In this project, we understand literacy as the ability to critically cope with reality, think about facts, be able to compare, assess, think and create new possibilities with regard to the state of knowledge in the area. We see the development of environmental literacy as the ability to think about the environmental impact of human activity from a broader perspective, to assess ecological trends critically with the broader context in mind. This includes real knowledge of ecological threats, understanding the contribution of each individual, and critical attitude to current environmental trends and the “truths” presented.
To achieve our goal, we cooperate internationally – Germany (Bavaria), Austria (Vienna) and the Czech Republic (Prague). In the international environment, it will be possible to monitor the approach to this topic in different regions of Europe and to process issues from different perspectives. We will guide the pupils through active learning methods – experiential education, theatre, discussion, excursions and trips, joint meetings.
The use of the E-Twinning platform will allow us to share activities and outputs throughout the project and the virtual involvement of other countries.
The specific outcome of the project and international meetings and mobilities will include two ebooks, theatrical performances, ecological workshops, fake news workshops, modification of the curriculum, and increase in CLIL hours.
