Project Summary

The project aim was to elaborate innovative training materials focused on master-suppression techniques. Even though these techniques significantly contribute to gender inequality (not only in political decision-making), they are only marginally included in empowerment programmes/trainings for women and girls. Women’s educational organizations from partners´countries (Czech Republic, Poland and Norway) have been running education for years nevertheless all of them understood the need to absorb new impulses, include new innovative approaches and tools and keep high quality standard. Although all partner organizations and their staff provided professional high quality trainings they were aware of opportunities for improvement in order to promote gender equality in their respective countries more efficiently. That is why the project focused on new topic (Master-suppression techniques) and innovative method (Theatre of the Oppressed) in order to enhance the scope, quality and efficiency of existing educational and training activities and materials carried out by women´s educational organizations.

Collaborative work of Czech, Polish and Norwegian partnership was designed to support planned educational programmes. It created new strategies and approaches as a result of collaborative learning and exchange of experiences. Implementation of the project increased competencies and professional skills of participating organizations’ staff as well as provided them with new knowledge which positively influenced educational activities and therefore speed of positive changes in European societies in the field of gender equality.

Project objectives were following:
• To elaborate innovative training programmes and materials (including both content and tools) focused on master-suppression techniques shared on the European level
• To develop new training approaches and teaching strategies toward gender empowerment training and leadership education
• To promote women’s political participation and active European citizenship
• To enhance know-how and practice exchange among partners from European countries across various regions
• To promote transnational partnership and to gain experience in international cooperation and to strengthen capacities of adult and youth education staff
