Project Summary
Unemployment, especially youth unemployment, is one of the greatest challenges of contemporary Europe in a constantly changing job market: young graduates often lack the skills needed to be competitive in the world of work such as: the ability to work in a team, creative thinking and problem solving, adaptability, flexibility, initiative, in one word: entrepreneurship.
The latter is to be understood as a strategic “mindset” to face the European Labour World and respond to the new needs of businesses and the production reality, particularly in the developing sector of the green economy.
The project intends to improve and expand the offer of learning opportunities of the five partner schools from Italy, Portugal, Greece, Slovakia and Belgium, through the use of entrepreneurship education workshops and sessions to be implemented through local activities and n. 5 exchange of pupils in the partner countries of the proposal.
Each school will select n. 24 students who will take part in n. 4 short-term exchange of group of pupils in partner countries accompanied by n. 2 teachers: a total of 120 students and 40 teachers will be involved in mobility activities in 5 different flows to the 5 different countries of the project.
The objective of the exchanges is to share good practices in the teaching / learning of entrepreneurship intended as a mind-set that supports the newly graduated student to face the world of work.
During the exchanges, we will mainly observe companies operating in the Green Economy that propose an economy model that aims to reduce the environmental impact by means of measures and initiatives that favor sustainable development through the use of renewable energies, the reduction of consumption and waste recycling.
In the exchanges are scheduled also company visits and final events that involve the participation of exponents of the Labour World, as local factories, associations, public entities, with interventions by experts in entrepreneurship education and communication.
The good practices shown and observed during the exchanges will be collected in an eBook for Entrepreneurship Education which also contains the project premises (needs, priorities, objectives) and guidelines for teachers on teaching methodologies.
The eBook will be written in English and translated, thanks also to the help of the students who participated in the exchange, in the various languages of the partnership and will be a useful tool for the teachers and students of the project and for others who in the future will want to start a entrepreneurship education path.
The student exchanges will be accompanied by local entrepreneurship education activities as well as parallel activities of the project already launched in March 2020 on the eTwinning platform: here the schools will publish all the project outputs as well as creating a virtual space for considerations and feedback on the activities already carried out and to be carried out.
A Facebook and Instagram page of the project and web pages (within the websites of the schools) will be created, in which all the audio-visual materials of the project activities will be published, as well as the eBook, the presentations of the schools, the exchange and all the material produced during the life of the project.
The partners will collaborate with each other also thanks to the project meetings that will be organized with Skype calls before the exchanges and during them, to coordinate and plan together the activities to be carried out and to monitor the development of the project.
The objective of the project is to support the development of the basic and transversal skills of the learners of their professional training, i.e. oriented towards the labour world, to support actions to enhance and systematise open and innovative teaching methods, improve quality, innovation and internationalization of school education and training through transnational cooperation between the 5 partner schools.
Thanks to the exchanges, students and teachers will have the opportunity to develop the linguistic knowledge related to the language of the host country and to English, as the vehicular language, and to develop transversal skills, such as the ability to relate and compare in a cultural context and social diversity, resourcefulness and the ability to adapt to various situations, intercultural awareness and European citizenship.
