Project Summary
“EduMapping: Alternative Pedagogy for Capacity Building and Social Inclusion”, is a project aiming to improve the quality of work carried on capacity building of youth and social inclusion by increasing organizations’ and their youth workers’ capacities as well as by fostering cooperation among them, while enhancing synergies among various actors working on related and complementary topics. Thus, the project responds to the need of enhancing the management, governance, and innovation capacity of youth organizations while improving the way these carry out initiatives for youths. The project is the result of the synergies within the consortium (SCI Italia, SCI Catalunya, SCI Sri Lanka, VWAN Nigeria, CVS Bulgaria, Liscìa, Laboratorio 53, Eduraduno, La Mancha and Otros Mundos), starting from common needs – youth workers enhancement, knowledge sharing, network fostering or creation – and finding the best matching between activities and outcomes to meet them. Although each partner involved in the project got specialized in some non-formal learning methodology, the need to get more and more professional while sharing both knowledge and practical tools is still predominant. Following this level, this project is an opportunity to allow youth workers from each organization to professionalize their path, enriching their capabilities and sharing their knowledge. In addition to that, thanks to the realization of the OER Platform, that will constitute an archive of the material collected and used during the activities (and their aftermath), the project is able to respond to the need to share skills and competences related to non-formal education (www.edumapping.org).Each organization involved identified their own youth worker participants for the activities of the project.
