Project Summary
Context
The project aims to bring together Ss from different European areas and have them learn from one another and work collaboratively to reach common goals. We think that entrepreneurship must be taught in schools at a basic level, for Ss to grow the sense of initiative and develop their skills of identifying areas where they could activate later.
Equipping students with such skills and cultivating their entrepreneurship skills in these periods of economic transition and uncertainty would help in the long run run, particularly as many schools are located in low-income areas where economic growth is a desperate necessity.
One of the eight life long leearning core competences outlined by the Recommendation 2006/962/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 18 December 2006, is the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship.
Objectives
O1. To develop Ss` sense of entrepreneurship and initiative
O2. To develop Ss` ability of identifying and evaluating the opportunities from the EU stage
O3. To promote European cultural diversity values
O4. To enable Ss to collaborate and cooperate in multicultural teams
O5. To develop Ss` language and communication skills
O6. To enable Ss` acquisition of basic entrepreneurship knowledge
O7. To provide Ss with the opportunity of practicing the launching of a start-up
O8. To develop Ss` creativity along with critical thinking skills
O9. To endorse establishment of different partnerships and connections with various local entrepreneurs
O10. To provide Ss with the ability and knowledge of differentiating between different forms of entrepreunarship

Results
Workshop materials (comprising of theoretical ideas and worksheets, different collaborative products of students, students` recorded performances, exemples of exercises meant to develop planning skills/communication/creativity/negotiation), direct meetings with some local entrepreneurs, various interviews made by students, different practical business ideas elaborated at a basic level – comprised in the final brochure of the project, as well as an EE Kit.
Outcomes aimed: developed personal skills, enhanced EU level cooperation of both teachers and students, better prepared/more motivated pupils, improved level of knowledge about the differences and similarities of EU.
Impact
Students will get to know entrepreneurship and become more acquainted with what a start-up is, what type of resources are needed to launch it and will learn ways of promoting and advertising it. For the short run, all these will improve their performance in other school projects.
The project helps strengthening each school’s expertise regarding international cooperation. It will encourage teachers and students to collaborate within the same classroom, thereby strengthening their working relationships. Better unity will therefore be achieved in every classroom. Teachers and participating students will also become stronger and more effective organizers, will upgrade their planning skills and problem-solving abilities, and therefore gaining benefits for the long run. The project’s success and its positive impact on the participants will inspire the teachers in schools to go on with the European initiatives and continue applying for other Erasmus+ projects.
