Project Summary
Our traditions on an environmentally conscious manner!
Give your caring to our Earth!
The theme of our project is old and current at the same time. From a specific point of view, we process our national traditions and celebrations in an environmentally conscious manner.
During our everyday educational work, we experience the wasteful behavior of the holidays, mostly in an environmentally burdensome manner, so we have to transform our habits.
Our project aims to influence families through the education community via the children. Using the digitalized world, we share our programs and ideas at online and personal meetings.
We are joining campaigns to take the families part in to solve real problems in our immediate environment. We show new habit system and pattern of behaviour.
Responding to the challenge of the present in the project, based on our experience, together with our 2 partners, we want to achieve a change of attitude to focus on internal content instead of exterior design and to strive for conscious customer behavior (for example: do not buy mass products produced by polluting processes).
Cooperative thinking and working across borders and beyond. We capture and share our results by making films.
We take advantage of ICT tools. It is a good practice not only for teachers but also for children aged 3-7 to communicate online.
Our goal is to make the holidays environmentally conscious in kindergarten communities. Results: getting to know the national traditions of the three countries, exchanging experiences, learning new methods and ideas.
The project implementation can be followed on the institutions’ websites and on Facebook. The effect of the project is that the attitudes of teachers and parents will change and become more sensitive.
Through the program, young children acquire basic skills appropriate to their age, which will later be incorporated into their routine. They will be able to make environmentally conscious decisions.
The environment and image of the institutions show a positive change, and their recognition is growing. The teachers’ global outlook is expanding, their linguistic and ICT skills are evolving. New fruitful partnerships develop, and educators are happy to participate in international projects.
