Project Summary

Erasmus for VIP Project was implemented by Ofensiva Tinerilor, a youth organisation from Romania in partnership with 4 partner organisations: Magnites Tifli (Greece) Association of People with Disabilities Vision Magnesia; Pancyprian organization of the Blind POT (Cyprus); NART – National Association of Resource Teachers (Bulgaria) and Center for Youth Activism CYA KRIK from (Macedonia). Through this initiative we explored the real context of integration of visually impaired youngsters and designed powerful resources for youth workers and youth organisation in order to remove their fear to integrate visually impaired youngsters in international mobilities .The overall objective of the “Erasmus 4 VIP” project was to develop, methodologies, human resources, tools, and recommendations, dedicated to foster te participation of youngsters with visual impairments in learning mobilities financed through Erasmus + . The specific objectives of our project were:
– to increase the capacity of youth organisations to include youngsters with visual impairments in learning mobility projects and non formal education activities
– to intensify sharing of experience, knowledge and know how between youth organizations and public institutions working with youngsters with visual impairments
– to jointly design and exchange methodological tools and recommendations to efficiently support the youth workers who include youngsters with visual impairments in their activities
– to identify innovative practices for the integration of youngsters with visual impairments in non formal education activities.
During the 24 months of the project, partners developed following intellectual outputs:
1. A survey for research on integration of youngsters with visual impairments and a recommendation paper based on the research we undertook;
2. A training kit module;
3. A brochure with 50 non-formal methods adapted for participants with visual impairments;
4. A web – site for sharing information and the outputs of this project;
5. An IT&C panel that unites information on Apps and software used by persons with visual impairments and that can be also used by youth workers to adapt their work to the needs of the participants with visual impairments.

Every partner organised a multiplying event in order to maximize the level of sharing the final results of the project. At least 40 participants in each partner country attended the event. Besides this each partner shared the result of the project during local workshops organized in order to raise awareness toward persons with visual impairments.
