Project Summary
Project „EuroACTive”, organised by Serbian NGO Čokanski dobošari, will be implemented in two stages (two days Training Courses) in January (15-22) and February (18-26) 2016. The project will be held in multi-ethnic city of Čoka, located in the region of Vojvodina at the Serbian – Hungarian – Romanian borderland.
The project, consisting of two Training Courses, is designed to empower youth workers and active leaders to act for social activation of youth in their local communities, foster social inclusion and building of social cohesion in their local communities using theatre related methods.
First activity of the project will be dedicated to ways of assessment of social problems in local community, conflict mapping, communicating and activation of youth and learning basic theatre based methods of youth work.
The second event will be dedicated to the forum theatre method as civic activation tool in youth work, enabling empowerment of youth at local, regional, national and international level. Participants will work on issues selected on a basis of a public opinion poll performed after closing of the first event. It will allow us to tackle real social issues young people face in their local communities (such as discrimination on various grounds, lack of opportunities, lack of dialogue with decision makers and other issues) using the forum theatre method.
Target group of the project are youth workers and active leaders from Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Portugal, Romania and Serbia.
