Project Summary

We are five high schools from different parts of Europe : Spain, Denmark, Poland, Italy and France working on the 17 United Nation Development Goals to transform our world. We will be working for two years with three mobilities the first year and two the second. Each country will focus on two UN goals that are special for them (either because of special interest by the high school or special interests by the area). All the participants will work on assignments and tasks related to these two UN goals in Euro-groups on the project eTwinning Twinspace before the mobility, each delegation will share what they found and show the results during the mobilities, the visits will be organised in relation to these two goals. Thus , Spain will organize studies and workshops about goals 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 13 (Climate Action) ; Poland on goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production); Italy on goals 2 (Zero Hunger) and 15 (Life on Land) ; Denmark on goal 5 (Gender Equality) and 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy)France on goals 14th ( Life Below Water) and 9th (Industry and Innovation) .
We will work on the UN goal of education throughout our project, we expect to collect new ideas and inspiration from each school that we will visit and that will be one of our special assignment. We aim at organizing a special Earth Day on sustainable development in each of our schools, preferably in the same week in order to share our findings with the whole school . As a final task we will organize a European students Parliament, where students will be organized in topic groups and based on this, discuss, decide and propose laws to put to the vote. The minutes of this will be sent to each participant’s’ European Member of Parliament as well as to national and local organizations working on sustainability.
At the end of this project we would like our students to feel European , responsible and willing to play an active part in their future and their direct environment. We would like them to feel confident they can work on transnational projects with a European team using ITC tools and English as a working and communicating language.
We expect a stimulus in our schools and communities thanks to the sustainable earth Day awareness that could be a showcase of our project but also thanks to the final mock Parliament Session and the minute we will send to our MPs and national and local organizations working on sustainability
