Project Summary

Our two-year Erasmus+ project is called ‘Europe and Art’.
Since all participating schools are specialised in art and design, the students have a common field of interest. Besides, the school curriculum is implicated in our project. During international art workshops taking place in Germany, France and Spain, our students work together in tri-national teams of 23 students. They participate in photographic and cultural visits and translate the photographs into two-dimensional and three-dimensional artistic products. After each workshop, the students design and print a collection of postcards of the designed objects and present their products on the e-twinning platform and at exhibitions at school.
Moreover, they create information material about the city and region they visited and write an article about the project for their school magazine.
Before and after their stays abroad, the students communicate with each other via e-twinning by chatting, taking part in video conferences, posting photos, leaflets, posters and short films about their home town, school and work on the online platform.
All those activities foster various skills, such as communication skills, foreign language acquisition, intercultural skills, ICT skills, team spirit and creativity.
Furthermore, the project increases the students’ awareness of being both, their country’s and European citizens. Hence, it develops our students’ knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the diversity of European cultures and languages.
Therefore, the participating schools benefit from the project in various ways. It fosters internationalisation at our institutions and thus contributes to a more open-minded, tolerant and understanding European society.
