Project Summary

The Europe for VET + project was a strategic partnership project (exchange of good practices) for improving the quality of vocational education iniciatives with organizations in Malta (ImproveAway), Spain (Assiociation Mundus), Italy (IFOM) and Poland (Lotnicze Zaklady Naukowe in Wrocław, Zespol Szkol Technicznych in Klodzko).

The main objective of the project was to improve the quality of activities in VET projects implemented by partners participating in the Europe for VET + project. In particular improvement of quality of work of project teams and management personnel within those institutions.

This goal was achieved through:
1) Development, use and publication of vocational internship programs for professions: logistics technician, construction technician, mechatronics technician. Internship programs were prepared in accordance with the requirements of the ECVET system, they reflect the actual tasks performed by trainees taking internships in a foreign country. Programmes have been consulted with ECVET expert in Poland – Wojciech Stechly, as well as various employers, vocational subjects teachers as well as potential participants of mobility projects (youth).
2) Exchange of good practices in the aspect of hosting, sending and procedures related to the implementation of projects in the area of VET in different countries. In addition to the impact on raising the quality of future projects, the measure of this objective has been the preparation and publication of a Compendium of knowledge in the field of sending and hosting participants of VET projects. Distribution of the paper version of the Compendium of Knowledge to key stakeholders took place in electronic and paper form.
3) Increase in experience of project teams in each partner institution. This goal was particularly important for both vocational technical schools in Poland, for whom it was the first project of a strategic partnership. The implementation of this project meant completing key elements of European development plans of these institutions and has shown to all teachers that it is worth undertaking additional activities. Knowledge and experience gained has also helped to improve the quality of teaching in both schools.

The project also developed procedures, documents and mechanisms for managing VET projects (Vocational education and training). Partners had the opportunity to strengthen the base of international contacts and to thoroughly analyze the needs and expectations in the sector – both from the side of hosting mobility participants and sending.

Six international meetings has been carried out in the project, during which the participants had the opportunity to learn the rules of implementing mobility projects in various hosting and intermediary organizations.

The project also enabled closer cooperation between the two schools – Lotnicze Zaklady Naukowe and Zespol Szkol Technicznych in Klodzko.

In the long-term, the project contributed to the improvement of the quality of implemented projects by partner institutions in the VET sector, building a broader partnership and increasing the competences of the employees of the partners.
