In the project “European Entrepreneurship Training Community” (acronym – EETC) 4 universities from the north, east and west of the Europe – Riga Technical University (Latvia), Anglia Ruskin University (United Kingdom), Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands) and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Finland) – will join forces to narrow the gap between the knowledge and skills of university graduates and the demand of the dynamically growing labour and entrepreneurship market, especially in the area of STEM industries and entrepreneurship.

The overall objective of the project is to expand the best practices of transdisciplinary entrepreneurial skill development of students and educators:
– by identifying current demand of emerging skill-sets of the labour market in the European Union and beyond;
– by improving long-term strategic collaboration among project core partners – higher education institutions and associated partners, such as business incubators, student and alumni associations, NGOs, business chambers, trade unions, public institutions and existing network organisations of the Consortium;
– by creating an interrelated processes linked to the entrepreneurship training in order to create a responsive Transdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Training Methodology for project partner students, thus leading to an attraction of private capital for the development of start-ups and new business units in the European Union market.

In order to achieve the overall objective of the project, project partners will undertake such activities:
1. Establish a transdisciplinary entrepreneurship training e-platform;
2. Conduct a research on best transdisciplinary entrepreneurship training methodology in close cooperation with the business sector;
3. Develop and test a transdisciplinary entrepreneurship training methodology and publish a handbook;
4. Establish a sustainable and scalable international student entrepreneurship society and publish guidelines;
5. Establish a sustainable and scalable international entrepreneurial university network and publish guidelines.

The project partners have an exceptional experience in implementing similar activities, however, not on such a large scale. The project will last 36 months and include 4 transnational project meetings, 2 short-term staff trainings, 2 intensive study programmes and 4 multiplier events. At least 20 educators and researchers will increase their knowledge and skills during the short-term staff training and 96 youngsters will take part in the intensive study programmes (Venture Camps). Moreover, at least 400 students will gain new knowledge through the local implementation of the transdisciplinary entrepreneurship training methodology in the Consortium universities. Last but not least, 60 stakeholders will take part in the local conferences in Latvia, Finland, United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

The transdisciplinary entrepreneurship training methodology will be easily transferable to other universities. It will create an entrepreneurial culture and ensure more accessible entrepreneurship education and a clear entrepreneurial mind-set. Also the international student entrepreneurship society and the international entrepreneurial university network, established within the project, will continue to operate and expand after the implementation of the project.
