Project Summary

This is a follow-up project that extends and continues the activities initiated in the previous E.B.A.M.B. project. Its implementation analysed the need for further cooperation of experts and people with disabilities from partner organisations. The main objective of the project was to exchange experiences, examples of good practice and to strengthen cooperation between organisations from the three partner countries dealing with the integration of people with disabilities, including in the field of training and job training. To meet the main objective, the following activities were undertaken:
1) Three thematic workshops, which involved 26 experts, assistants of people with disabilities, with the aim of transferring good practice, expertise, knowledge, methods and forms of working with people with disabilities to train and train them for employment in each partner organisation.
2) Two hospitals/traineeships attended by 13 experts, assistants to people with disabilities in the organisation of German partner Lebenshilfe Gardelegen to gain practical insights into the activities of their colleagues in the organisation and field, directly in the workplace and in addressing specific tasks.
(3) Seven exchange practices involving 53 people with disabilities, which, together with their assistants, had the opportunity to virtually verify the performance of joint team tasks and measure their performance against colleagues from partner organisations. Activities aimed at strengthening and developing personal, occupational and social competences and also served to verify the methods used and the knowledge gained.
(4) Three new teaching manuals have been developed as part of the work-education system for specific activities related to preparing for the work and housing of people with disabilities.
(5) A final conference was held to present to the professional public, partly online, the project’s ongoing activities, outputs and benefits for the organisations involved and the participants themselves, i.e. people with disabilities as well as their assistants/experts in the field of work preparation. The main impact of the project for people with disabilities lies precisely in the possibility of sharing their own experiences and comparing them with colleagues from partner organisations, personal participation in the preparation and conduct of the project activities, and the process itself of preparing and then travelling and staying in another country. The greatest benefits for professionals were identified in the possibility of obtaining feedback on daily work routines, transferring specific methods and good practice from colleagues in partner organisations who, despite geographical proximity, different legal, systemic conditions, different methods and procedures, work with the same target group of people with disabilities. The impact on the partner organisations involved is evident in the mutual inspiration to realise other investment intentions and to develop the activities of organisations towards fulfilling their missions.
