Project Summary
“EFA-2020” is a cooperation between 4 schools (DK, PL, LT & LV), who have previously cooperated on implementing together free of cost art-based youth-exchanges in school-time for 8th-graders (age 14).
“EFA-2020” will contribute to this and implement in total 3 youth-exchanges DK, LT & LV), of which the third will be paid by “management & implementation” money in the same way as a very important partner-meeting in Guldborgsund in January 2020.
This meeting will:
– Evaluate how it is going with the planned cooperation between the schools according to a recently (a joint meeting 14-18.1.2019) developed list
– take the temperature on the research on how this virtual communication & cooperation influences on learning-motivation and on concrete learning-results.
– plan ongoing virtual cooperation
– plan the coming 3 exchanges
– be also a kind of dissemination-meeting and having invited also other interested schools
– will develop and produce together 10 new applications for the February deadlines to Erasmus+ and Nordplus Junior.
The exchanges will follow a model developed over 20 years by the European association “Drums for Peace”, which is using the participative arts as a catalyst for the intercultural learning, and working with music, dance, circus etc. has shown to be able to involve actively together both academic young people as well as those who are school-tired young people and in risk of dropping out. They work together in a spirit of joy and high energy and improves greatly concerning a.o. foreign language-speaking and knowledge about other countries.
The workshops takes, together with presentation to the public in the hosting community, most of the programmed time, but also morning-circles with ice-breakers are contributing to establishing “a safe place”, where the young participants dare open up and cross borders.
With our geographical model of partners situated on a driving-route along the South Baltic-Sea we find that we have a logistic model with great future potential, and which supports European Commission in offering mobility to young people.
We find that owe are able to deliver “first class, but low-cost” exchanges, which are free of costs for the students and so inclusive and accessible for all.
