Project Summary

We are plannning to implement our project in the area of strategic partnerships for the exchange of good practices from September 1, 2020 to November 30, 2021. Our activities will be targeted at young participants aged 15-30 from Poland and Germany. The project is titled “Experience and Knowledge”. The main goal is to exchange practices between residents who, in the Voluntary Fire Brigades in Poland and Germany, work for safety in their localities. Our initiative group of 4 people are the ones who have already participated in other projects. We: Krystian, Paweł, Wiktoria and Konrad – the leader, want to exchange methods of working with young people with similar interests. The problem we see both with us and our German partners is the lack of the youth in our structures. Computers, tablets, telephones and other applications mean that there is no longer such interest in acting for other people as it used to be. We wonder how to encourage new people to join us? How to keep them in our ranks? How to avoid ” the leader disease”? How to organize activities for young people? Therefore, we want to solve this problem and answer these and other questions. In addition, we want to expand our experience by learning through experience both observed and gained. Our Polish-German group is to have 30 people (15 PL and 15 D), including 26 participants and 4 leaders / managers and assistants. We are not able to settle all matters ourselves, we need people with the right to represent. Our activities will consist of 3 SMEs and 2 BM. In addition, between joint meetings, we will present our acquired knowledge in 10 schools and kindergartens in each country, organizing activities for children and the youth. In addition, we will train ourselves and gain skills. We will use Youthpass and national certificates in our activities. The results of our activities will include the acquisition of experience and skills: first aid, operating fire-fighting and rescue equipment, rules for conducting classes, and conducting them for residents of both countries. The benefits of the project will also be the fact that in both organizations there will be more people who will be able to conduct classes, the skills acquired will allow them to develop further and better, and we believe that there will be more people in our guards and who will be able to follow our example.
