Project Summary

Zespol Szkol in Biskupiec and Greselius-Gymnasium Bramsche – linked through a partnership between the regions of Olsztyn and Osnabrück dating from 1999 – were attempting to give an impetus for the convergence of Europe and for mutual understanding of people with their joint project against all tendencies aimed at turning away from the European idea. Fifteen German and fifteen Polish year-11- and year-12-students organized an exhibition on a scientific level titled “Enmity and Friendship – the German-Polish relationship on the basis of the history and present of the regions of Olsztyn and Osnabrück “. This exhibition is intended to contribute to the twentieth anniversary of the partnership between the regions.
In the course of this project – some at joint conferences in Biskupiec and Bramsche, others at home at their schools – the students deepened team competence, interdisciplinary and media skills as well as intercultural, linguistic and professional expertise. At the same time they prepared for their studies at university.
