Project Summary
The project was centered on a training model that involved the rediscovery of one’s own cultural roots, the subsequent development of a multimedia project to be shared with other European partner schools. Three European partners from Italy, Greece and Portugal were involved in the project, it involved numerous students from the 3 partner schools and was structured in:
1) phase of rediscovery and elaboration carried out with the methodology of cooperative learning, tutoring and role play at the partner schools with the supervision, from a scaffolding perspective, of the tutors;
2) short-term mobility of 8 or 15 days carried out between the students of the different partner schools, through which the contamination between different cultures and the internal sharing of the projects of the documents were favored, through the integration of students in mobility working groups specifically defined by the host school;
3) events for sharing and evaluating the results of the project carried out among the various applicants.
The objectives of the project can be traced back to the development of transversal skills, in particular as regards technological, relational, communicative and planning skills, to foster a spirit of European community among the participants, to facilitate the active and aware participation of participants in social life and cultural heritage of their territories, to facilitate the orientation and development of the spirit of self-entrepreneurship of the participants. The sharing of the model relating to the rediscovery of cultural roots to other scholastic realities and at the same time favoring, through interaction with stakeholders, the creation of entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of territorial promotion and the creative cultural industry were the aims of the path planning.
The effective effectiveness of the project path was assessed taking into account the increase in educational success, the active participation of participants in the social and cultural life of their territory and the orientation of outgoing students, measured through administration, in different time steps. , of evaluation questionnaires made through google modules. The long-term fallout derives from the methodological innovation that the project model has brought into the didactic planning of the participating institutions, also spread through dissemination events and through the eTwinning platform at other schools in Europe. Currently a project and twinning is active, with the same object, and with the participation of Turkish schools, the Portuguese and Greek schools, aimed at involving other students in the training model based on the rediscovery of cultural roots, using the tools offered for cooperative work from etwinning space.
