Project Summary

“The environmental challenge, linked to the conservation of the resources of our planet, represents a challenge which is no longer elusive for future generations” is the theme of our project. This project aims at the participation and active citizenship of young people in from school age (10-14 years), because we believe that they should have the right, the means and the possibility to influence decisions and participate in actions aimed at building a life, a society and a Each community is linked to the intrinsic characteristics of the territory where it was built, they must be protected, through sustainable management of the urban system.
Six partner schools: Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, France and Greece. They are very motivated and most of them have experience in European projects.
The activities around these themes will allow students to know the eco-compatible behaviors of other countries and to master them.
The specific objectives:
1. Know how to identify the elements of biological, cultural and socio-economic diversity in an urban center
2. Understand the value of their daily choices and therefore implement responsible and eco-sustainable behaviors.
4. Understand the social, productive, economic and environmental implications of technical and scientific innovations applied to urban contexts
5. Guarantee respect for the territory for the survival and protection of man and the environment
6. Be aware of the risks linked to energy production and consumption
7. Promote effective change either at school level or in the local community
General objectives:
– active participation in school and extracurricular activities
– on a personal level, gain more self-confidence
– interest in European values: equality, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, non-discrimination
– more interest in the French language
We are planning 6 Learning Activities whose subjects are:
1. Biodiversity of partner school territories and protection of biodiversity in urban centers.
Air quality and the problem of “water” (often the cause of disasters).
3. Green spaces and safe public spaces.
4. Waste management
5. Transport, use of public transport
6. Construction of sustainable and resilient buildings
These results are expected: creation of a hydroponic greenhouse at school, projects of eco-sustainable houses, electronic booklet and poster “Save water at school” e “Sorting selective”, 20 rules for the charter of European citizen “eco-mobile”, the model of an ecological city / village, a sculpture half organic half inorganic “Where the Slaves Live” by Adrian Villar, Etwinning project, website, evaluation sheets, logbook, collection of student testimonials on impact, 6 mobilities, 3 Seminars
All the consolidated quality methodological elements in the educational field will be used, such as: direct action, use of good practices, school / territory relationship linked to the context in which it operates; complex thinking; metacognitive thinking, action research, transversality and interdisciplinary approach
The evaluation strategy ensures the achievement and achievement of objectives
The expected impact: the communities of 6 European schools recognize and critically analyze the complex relationships between man and environment; students more interested in European values (equality, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, non-discrimination), become aware of the importance of actions to protect and conserve biodiversity, on a personal level they have more self-confidence; for schools, development of the European dimension and confidence in the teaching process, better social inclusion of disadvantaged students, adoption of a green space and creation of a hydroponic greenhouse, curriculum enriched by new optional courses to to stimulate ecological and European awareness within the school and the community, ascent of interest in the French language.
