Project Summary

We suggest elaborating International Drama Workshops in French and Spanish. The project is aimed at volunteer students aged 15 to 18 who will present their final production in April 2020 in Auray, France. They will be guided by their teachers who will provide them with various society-based topics such as gender equality, addictions, social networks, discriminations, bullying … Treating these issues through the practice of drama will develop and enhance the dialogue between the students, their teachers and the school community as a whole as well as in the students’ personal lives.

As the students will be actors of the project in its full meaning, they will develop their sense of citizenship as well as their language skills : they will communicate both in French and Spanish and three European countries will be involved in the project : Spain, Italy and France.

The co-writing will be done through various multimedia tools ( blog, eTwinning, Framapad, videoconference ….) and during the three meetings which will take place in the partners’ schools in turn ( April 2019, November 2019 and April 2020)

The finale theatre production will be composed of 5 scenes co-written by French, Spanish and Italian students. It will be performed in French and Spanish in France in April 2020.

A DVD of the show and its making-off will be filmed and diffused to the public and other schools, as well as a bilingual collection of the scripts.

This two-year project aims at improving communication skills in foreign languages through Drama practice as well as developing the students’ artistic insight. They will also acquire a sense of independence and responsibility as young European citizens.
